Penny Dreadful Chapter 4
Prologue Dear Diary, That feeling from a month ago has finally started to go away. The terrible gas station explosion news still makes me sad but there’s not a lot of that news anymore. Who Will Find Them?
Jake had a four-hour drive to mull over all the different ways he might convince the people at Safe Haven that he was simply a concerned individual who wanted to check on the young girl he managed to rescue from a trafficker. Who Will Find Them
You would think that after such an eventful day , Jake would have slept straight through the night, but that wasn’t the case. Beth’s tear-streaked face and pleading eyes kept intruding on his rest. Jake knew it made no sense, but he felt responsible for this young girl whom he had only met briefly. She wasn’t his sister, or even some long-lost cousin, but the hug she had given him just before they parted formed a lasting bond in his heart.
