Relating dreadfully to George Orwell’s Down and Out in Paris and London
In preparation for my trip to Toyama, Japan, I scoured my bookshelves for the perfect novel that would keep me entertained during our flights, but not take up too much space in my carry-on. I skipped over the lengthy fantasy books and flipped through my queer romance collection before the itch to read a classic fell upon me. After much deliberation, I settled on Orwell’s first published book, Down and Out in Paris and London.

Rachel Reviews: The Seeker of Well-Being by Indrajit Garai
I'm not a great reader of self-help books but I understand the merit of them and I think there is always validity in seeking out ways to improve oneself, whatever that may represent. I don't like them too preachy nor too bombastic so Garai's approach was a welcome read as he advocates a way for you to make your way through life and all that it may present.

My Debut Jungian-Themed Poetry Chapbook is Officially Here
I am excited to announce that my debut Jungian-themed poetry chapbook is officially here! Recently, I began my Vocal Media creator's break so I could focus on my project. Part one, the chapbook, is complete, and now I am off on the second half of my journey, writing the full-length book. While I've missed out on writing challenges and fallen far behind in my reading here, I am amped for the next phase of my creator's experience.

When 8:59 Finally Reached 9:00
When 8:59 Finally Reached 9:00 There is a peculiar loneliness in submitting a story. You press "send," attach a fragment of yourself to an email, and release it into a silence you cannot negotiate with. Then life resumes. You make coffee. You answer messages. You write other pieces. You convince yourself that you have already made peace with whatever answer returns.

Rachel Reviews: Mistresses: Sex and Scandal at the Court of Charles II by Linda Porter
I'm not a Royalist but I do find the history of kings and queens, especially those of Britain, very interesting indeed. Charles II, the king of the Restoration, is one who stands out and not just because of his exceptional wig.
