I started incorporating eyeshadow into my makeup regimen in early 2015, and let me tell you, I was horrible at first. I've never been one to ease into something... no, I go head-on. So when I started doing eyeshadow, I didn't start with a subtle or easy look, I tried a purple smokey eye about an hour before I had to leave for church on a Sunday morning. To date, this was one of my biggest makeup mistakes! I was determined though, and before long, and after numerous YouTube videos, I could do a very not-bruise-looking purple smokey eye, as well as many other eyeshadow looks. I did my sister's makeup for her wedding, and then the next year my friend's sister's wedding makeup as well! Over the years, I've had lots of fun trying out various eyeshadow palettes, some high-end, some drugstore, budget friendly palettes, and a few in between. I'd love to share with you my favorites today, as well as tips and tricks!

I started wearing makeup when I was 21 years old. As a woman I KNOW that is a very late start. I was never the one to gloss over my face, or blend, or compact something in my face. I actually had "bad skin" as a young person, so naturally I started using acne products. I had buckets of acne cremes, toners, moisturizers, and masks. I had tried everything on my face to clear my skin, so I did not even want to add anything else! I was also a tomboy. I never liked to be super feminine, and I just knew that was who I was. I am, and was, sort of a shell of a woman, but on the inside I really was just searching for peace, and self love. I realize now that makeup enhances, and is a form of self love. All women including tomboys can invest in themselves in this way!! Here is my routine!

I was beginning to think I would never find the right product for me UNTIL I came across, not one, but TWO HOLY GRAILS, which are both now staples in my makeup routine!
Lack of sleep, stress, and anxiety because of the huge pile of assignments and exams are definitely welcoming invitations for dark circles and acne. Although you can fight these things with constantly consuming healthy foods, exercising regularly, and organizing your schedule well so you can get a good amount of sleep, I know there are times when you just want to hide your spots and blemishes immediately.
Now, if you know me, you'd probably know that I own a hell of a lot of lipstick. I mean I own a TON of lipstick. There are good lipsticks, there are bad lipsticks, and there are lipsticks that you wear all the time regardless of which clothes you're wearing. If you've seen my other article, you'd know that my skin is pretty sensitive and has been pretty much harnessed and ruined by various vitamin deficiencies. This is because though I may own a lot of lipsticks, I choose them very carefully. I choose them based on their:

Jeffree Star started out on Myspace, gaining fame for his bold appearance and his aggressive personality. Everyone remembers the pictures that he produced, especially the image of him and a bowl of cereal; it's all iconic and not to be forgotten by anyone that had gone through their scene kid phase. Since MySpace fell apart, Jeffree Star kind of disappeared for a few years. It turned out that he was building the funds for his own cosmetics brand. He began to build himself up on YouTube and gained a large following. He still maintains that boldness and aggressiveness, which makes him sound very authentic and unchanging.
