I started wearing makeup when I was 21 years old. As a woman I KNOW that is a very late start. I was never the one to gloss over my face, or blend, or compact something in my face. I actually had "bad skin" as a young person, so naturally I started using acne products. I had buckets of acne cremes, toners, moisturizers, and masks. I had tried everything on my face to clear my skin, so I did not even want to add anything else! I was also a tomboy. I never liked to be super feminine, and I just knew that was who I was. I am, and was, sort of a shell of a woman, but on the inside I really was just searching for peace, and self love. I realize now that makeup enhances, and is a form of self love. All women including tomboys can invest in themselves in this way!! Here is my routine!

We all know that large pores can be a HUGE pain in the butt. Aside from making you more prone to acne and blemishes, they also make it nearly impossible to achieve a flawless makeup look. I have struggled with large pores for a while now and have tried countless products that just didn't seem to work me! I wanted something that made my pores non-existent, but also didn't break my bank. I was beginning to think I would never find the right product for me UNTIL I came across, not one, but TWO HOLY GRAILS, which are both now staples in my makeup routine!
Lack of sleep, stress, and anxiety because of the huge pile of assignments and exams are definitely welcoming invitations for dark circles and acne. Although you can fight these things with constantly consuming healthy foods, exercising regularly, and organizing your schedule well so you can get a good amount of sleep, I know there are times when you just want to hide your spots and blemishes immediately.
Now, if you know me, you'd probably know that I own a hell of a lot of lipstick. I mean I own a TON of lipstick. There are good lipsticks, there are bad lipsticks, and there are lipsticks that you wear all the time regardless of which clothes you're wearing. If you've seen my other article, you'd know that my skin is pretty sensitive and has been pretty much harnessed and ruined by various vitamin deficiencies. Jeffree Star started out on Myspace, gaining fame for his bold appearance and his aggressive personality. Everyone remembers the pictures that he produced, especially the image of him and a bowl of cereal; it's all iconic and not to be forgotten by anyone that had gone through their scene kid phase. Since MySpace fell apart, Jeffree Star kind of disappeared for a few years. It turned out that he was building the funds for his own cosmetics brand. He began to build himself up on YouTube and gained a large following. He still maintains that boldness and aggressiveness, which makes him sound very authentic and unchanging.
My skin is pretty sensitive, so I have to be careful when buying a new foundation. I do all my reading, and after a few days or weeks—I can possibly buy my next foundation and test it out. Most people know that the two places to best test foundation is on your chest and on the back of your hand. My skin is also pretty grey because I have anaemia and so, I need a foundation that doesn't make my skin look grey, and can make me more radiant, lightened and possibly, with more of my own colour in my skin. (I'm a very light-skinned Indian if you want to imagine that. Or, likewise, check out my profile picture at the end of this article.)
