If you have read my statement regarding cruelty-free make-up, then you will now that this has not been an easy path and that I have made mistakes in the past. I have found myself infuriated having purchased from a brand, one specifically springs to mind, thinking that they were cruelty-free only to discover two years in that they had changed their policy and are no longer cruelty free.
Animals all over the world are being abused and tortured through animal testing of cosmetic products. Many places like the United States require new ingredients to be tested on animals before being released to the public, and China requires all makeup sold in the country to be tested on animals. But this behavior is not acceptable. There are thousands of already approved ingredients for companies to choose from for places like the United States, and if all makeup companies refuse to sell in China, they too could wake up to the reality of their cruel laws and save thousands of animals lives.

1. Avon's Soft Matte Liquid Lip
Many of us like to think we treat our bodies in the best way possible. We exercise at least five days a week, we eat right and cut out many negative habits of all forms to live a clean and peaceful life. I want you to sit back and ask yourself; have you ever looked at the label for your beauty products?
I struggle so much with finding products that work best for and on my skin. I have combination skin, which means that I have both dry and oily skin. Not only do I have dry and oily skin, but I’m also very prone to acne and I get blackheads all the time. I have to find the right balance between hydrating my dry skin and trying to tame my oily skin, it’s not easy. Just last week I tried a face mask that said it was good for all skin types and it burned my skin; redness and it ripped off some of my skin. It was so sad, and I had some scabs around my eyes and cheeks because of it. Finding products that work and constantly changing up the routine is hard and annoying but once you find some products that work and your skin loves, there is no going back. Not all these products are going to work for you, but if your skin is as sensitive as mine, then I would recommend trying some of these products.
I am obsessed with lip balm, I always have been. If you ask anyone who knows me, they will tell you that I won’t leave without lip balm. If I forget it or lose it, I will go to end of the earth to find one. I can’t go more than two hours without reapplying. I LOVE lip balm! Is it an obsession? YES! Is it healthy? Probably not, not so sure but it is a problem. Am I okay with this? Sure, I love it so much I don’t really care. I suffer from dry lips. If I don’t reapply constantly, my lips will start to crust, crack, and bleed. I was always told that it’s because I don’t drink enough water but trust me, I drink more than enough. I pee so much it’s annoying, literally.
Now Morphe didn't used to be cruelty free, but now they are. Morphe isn't a classified drugstore brand; however it is a cheap, yet high quality and pigmented brand. They make collaborations with other rising artists—for example, Jaclyn Hill X Morphe and James Charles X Morphe. Both are affordable and pigmented.
The Cruelty Free movement has taken big steps the past couple of years, with the topic being discussed more openly and more people choosing not to use brands that still test of animals.
As I'm getting older, I can definitely see the importance of using chemical free and organic products for my family and myself. I started researching the products that we used and better alternatives when I was pregnant with Delilah. When researching brands, I would often have to choose products that had the least amount of chemicals which was very frustrating and incomprehensible.

LUSH Cosmetics is one of my all time favorite stores. Most people know them for their colorful and beautifully scented bath bombs but not everyone knows they also have some other awesome products like shampoo bars and face cleaners.
Choosing to eat a healthier diet was no doubt a huge lifestyle change for me. Not only did I have to adjust what and where I eat, but I began to start being mindful of what was in the foods I chose to eat. It didn't stop at just food, however, as I found myself taking another look at the ingredients of what I put onto my skin. So I dived into the world of natural hygiene products.
