I know completely the cost of acne in the lives of the young and the young adult. The effects are not just skin deep, it can penetrate into the souls and character is the suffering. Unfortunately, many adolescents suffer from depression as they transition into adulthood with severe acne. Learn more from the article below.

After years of trying to find the right products to help my acne, I found 4 amazing skincare products that became an integral part of my daily routine. But, there is more to proper skincare, than just applying products to the skin. There are principles that must be followed for goals to be achieved. So before I give you the 4 products I use, these are the 5 principles you must follow.

5 Principles of proper skincare to get rid of acne permanently

  1. Eat healthily. What you put into your body is reflected on the skin. 1 effective means to excrete waste from the body is on the skin. Excess fat is released onto the skin where it mixes with dirt, dead cells, and bacteria to form sebum. Sebum clogs the pores and is a rich food source for bacteria. Therefore, limiting fatty foods and increasing healthy fats like nuts and avocados. Eat a balanced diet as often as possible this helps.
  2. Stay active. Exercise does 2 things for the skin. first, it improves circulations, which increases oxygen and nutrient delivery and removes waste faster. Second, this is the best way to remove fat and replace it with muscle. This is a win-win situation because less fat is deposited in the skin and more fat is removed. It just takes 30 minutes 3 times weekly to build the dream booty, I mean body and clear up that acne.
  3. Wash twice daily. The most important part of using any product is to establish and stick to the routine. The holy grail of the proper acne therapy is to always wash, and twice daily. That means a mild soap and warm water every morning is just as effective as using a brand-name cleanser. Cleansing physically removes build-up on the skin, while warm water opens pores for declogging. Remember to move in a circular motion, from the center moving outward, from the chin to the forehead.
  4. Hydrate effectively. My biggest enemy is processed sugars. Every time I even look at a skittle package, which I do a lot, a pimple pop up. A trick I learned is to get im my 8 glasses of water since glucose is removed at a constant rate by the kidneys. So the more I urinate faster glucose leaves the body and gets back to normal. Hydration also means hydrated skin that leaves less room for bacterial growth. Clean moist skin with fewer bacteria = acne-free skin.
  5. Live stress-free. Ladies hormones are our blessing and curse. Imbalanced hormones cause a lot of skin and metabolic changes. High levels of estrogen contribute to extra oil deposits onto the skin. Don't get it wrong, estrogen is the reason for glowing skin, but when the levels are too much or too little the skin suffers from acne invasion. There are many stress factors, work, emotional, man problems and there are more. Therefore, stress relief is like meditation, running, taking a "me day" or whatever you do to stay stress-free, is important. Your skin is depending on it.

Skincare products that get rid of acne for good

Now that you are familiar with the principles of achieving and maintaining acne-free skin, let's get into the products for clear, healthy, and acne-free skin.

Cleanser: My cleanser of choice is the soap and glory face soap & vitamin C. I was introduced to this product 1 year ago and now I am married to this face wash. It is a mild soap, that cleans completely, and the vitamin C adds a burst of freshness to the skin.

I have dermal cystic acne which is impossible to pop. With this cleanser, the cysts become concentrated and form an epidermal opening. And only after 4 days, this pimple pops and drains then disappear without a trace.

Moisturizer: This was tricky because I have oily skin. After testing many, I used 2. The Aveeno clear complexion moisturizer, which I love, but I also use CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30. SPF is important especially on days in the skin.

In both facial moisturizers, a little goes along way. They are both non-oily and keep my face soft and smooth long day even with makeup.

Treatment: The main treatment I currently use is the CeraVe Retinol Serum, which I would only use at night. After 3 days, most marks are gone, the large dreaded pores are smaller and almost invisible. But during the day, my go-to is Aveeno Positively Radiant MaxGlow. It's my no more pimples and makeup primer, I hardly wear makeup.
