TIPS FOR DRY SKIN

  1. Drink plenty of water to hydrate your skin from the inside out.
  2. Use a humidifier in your home to add moisture to the air.
  3. Avoid harsh soaps and skin products that contain alcohol or fragrances, as they can strip your skin of its natural oils.
  4. Protect your skin from extreme temperatures and wind. Cover up when going outside and use a scarf to protect your face.
  5. Exfoliate gently once a week to remove dead skin cells that can make dry skin look dull and flaky.
  6. Use a gentle, fragrance-free soap on areas like your face and hands, as they tend to be more sensitive.
  7. Apply a thicker, heavier moisturizer before bedtime to help repair your skin while you sleep.
  8. Try an oatmeal bath to soothe itchy skin. Fill a muslin bag with uncooked oats and run warm water over it in the bathtub.

Consult a dermatologist if your dry skin doesn't improve with home remedies or over-the-counter products.
