It's Friday night, you had a super long day at work, and you just want to relax. A nap just won't be enough for today. So you decide that you want a relaxing spa session. But the nearest spa place is 20 miles away and way too expensive. So you go to the nearest store and you create your own relaxing spa day.

The materials you will need are:

Masks: There are different types of masks that will work. You can get masks for your hair or your face. You can use hair masks to rejuvenate your hair. The face masks can be used to unclog your pores while you're relaxing. You can relax and get clearer skin at the same time!

Face Mask Recipe

Honey, Oat, & Whole Milk Face Mask Ingredients

  • Honey
  • Whole milk
  • Dried oats

  1. Pour 3 tablespoons of dried oats into a blender.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of whole milk and mix until you’ve made a paste.
  3. Mix in 1 tablespoon of organic honey.
  4. Wash your face and neck with warm water and an oil-free cleanser to remove makeup and open pores.
  5. Remove the mixture from the blender and apply evenly.
  6. Let the mixture dry for 15 minutes.
  7. Rinse the mask off with warm water, then splash your face with cool water to close your pores.
  8. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel.

Manicure and Pedicure Kit

Why not also do your nails too? You can get some nail polish and there are some amazing recipes online to help you get smooth feet and hands. Also during your spa, you can take some time to shave your legs.

Bath Bomb

You can intensify your bath with a bath bomb! Bath bombs are hard-packed mixtures of dry ingredients which effervesce when wet. They are used to add essential oils, scent, bubbles, or color to bathwater. Bath bombs usually cost between 1 to 10 dollars.

Food

We can't have a successful spa day on an empty stomach. Why not have a few treats? Get one of your favorite treats, it could be some sweets or maybe some chips. Go get something to drink too. Some lemon water or some juice or even some wine if that bad day at work really got to you.

Essential Oils

Getting essential oils from plants is done with a process called distillation, most commonly distillation by steam or water, where many parts of the plants are being used, including the plant roots, leaves, stems, flowers, or bark. After distillation, the outcome is a highly concentrated portion of essential oil, which will have the characteristic fragrance and properties of the plant from which it was extracted, and contain the true essence of the plant it came from. This includes the smell, but also the plant’s healing properties and other plant characteristics. You could also put these oils in some water and drink it.

Get your bathroom ready and prepared. Light some candles and turn the lights off. Turn on the bath water. Put your food and drink somewhere close so you can reach while you are in the bath. Start putting on your face and hair masks. Take deep breaths and just think about how amazing you will feel after this. Once the water is at a good height start sliding into the tub and drop in your bath bomb. Watch as the bath bomb disperses in beautiful colors. Relax and relish in this beautiful spa for about 30 mins or until your fingers look like raisins!! After you get out and dry off, sit on your bed and do a nice mani/pedi. By now you should be ready to go to bed.
