Let's Talk About: Poppy's "X"
If you’ve at all plumbed the depths of "entertainment" found on Poppy’s YouTube channel, you’ll most likely chalk up a list of adjectives: Strange, twisted, black-humoured, surreal, and disturbing. Hundreds of Poppy’s videos are punctuated by feelings ranging from dead-eyed nonsense to extreme unease—an omnipresent dread suspending the viewer in a state of delirium and paranoia, something akin to feeling that, somehow, this is something we shouldn’t be watching.

This song was such a release for me! I've been married twice. Not something I am ashamed of, but yeah, lol. My second marriage was where I really started to dig into my career as an artist, but it was also where I had a lot of heartache and pain. The song "Da Takeover" is the last straw for me when that marriage ultimately ended.

You may be wondering who this AMMO is? Well, we have the inside scoop on the former Reality TV star. AMMO came from a Mormon family who expected him to carry on the family legacy in faith. Instead, he dropped out of school, moved to New York City, denounced his former faith on MTV’s ‘Real World’ and ‘The Challenge’, and committed himself to becoming a truly great singer-songwriter.

Hey, October Evans here. I wanted to share some thoughts about why I am writing this and why you should support this Kickstarter campaign... So let's get down right into it, shall we? Cool.

This is my latest single and my first as a solo artist. The backstory of this song is very personal to me. I have had an on and off relationship with music, but I have never stopped writing. As my life experiences were collected, my writing began to flourish, becoming something that I am extremely proud of for the first time. As my brother puts it, I am a self-hating artist and the constant struggle to share my writing or music is like a weight sitting on top of my head. As I give up, it pushes me more and more into the ground. I awoke one day, telling myself that I will die within regrets arms for not sharing my talents and capabilities. I at least have to try to be satisfied knowing I gave it all I could.

On the 11th of January, this year, I dropped a new track. Now, this seems a normal thing to do, as I am a singer and a writer, but the reason it was a bit of a feat was that I had not released a track since May 2018. The track itself, "Magical," should have been released in September 2018.

I'm Brandon. I am from the San Francisco Bay Area in California. I am an 18-year-old freshman in college who has a passion for music and helping other people through it. I believe music is more powerful than education if it's used in the right way. I have been a songwriter for the last four and a half years of my life. My dream is to get signed to a record label by the end of this calendar year.

Standing at the Foothills “Foothills” the music video carries themes of reconnection, rebirth, and a shedding of the material world. Inspired by the song, the “Foothills” music video is about being at the base of a mountain, ready to climb toward my destiny. The narrative for the music video was co-written by Ryan Lampert, Ostara, and myself, Oriel Poole. More like a short film than a music video, the imagery in “Foothills” is rich with symbolism.

The latest stop on their 2018 UK tour brought Arctic Monkeys to the Barclaycard Arena in the centre of Birmingham. The Sheffield band treated the crowd to tracks from all six of their albums, including Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino which was released earlier this year.

Good music is a struggle to find today and since the amount of radio lovers is decreasing at an accelerating rate, quality music is very much needed.
Alishba WaqarPublished 6 years ago in BeatGirl Groups to Listen To
From the Spice Girls in the 90s to Little Mix now, the world has seen a whole lot of girl groups. The Fader released an article in June of 2018 hosting the question, "Where are all the girl groups?" In the article, they mentioned that it seemed like the world had a plethora of boy bands, but the girl groups were nowhere to be found. Then, they spent half of the article talking about boybands. Here's a hint: maybe, if they hadn't done so much in-depth research on the boybands of today, they would've been able to find some girl groups like the ones I'm about to mention. Here, the Fader, I did the dirty work for you!
