Yesterday, as I lounged in my bathtub like a true queen, basking in the glory of my recent art show success, I couldn't help but reflect on the piece that I had wanted to sell the most and it did! It was a stroke of genius, a painting inspired by my intense hatred for a certain type of wine. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. I wrote an article about that piece and you can read it here. The person who bought it, totally got it. As I sat in my tub, I thought about how I love to write about things I hate.

Trailing his recent remix of Inner City’s ‘Reach’ which made its way straight to the top 10 on Traxsource, Syncia seriously understands how to make club music that kicks above the masses. His UK roots can really be felt with this tougher, edgier House cut that is definitely designed to tear up dancefloors and get people moving.

I have tried to keep up with what is on the charts, but I am not as devoted to the top-forty hits as I once was. As much as I like the noises of Billie, Dua, Taylor and Queen Bee, I still find myself going back to the other side of the equation, meaning the ones who should be bigger. You like Beyonce? I go for Janelle Monae. Taylor Swift? Give me St. Vincent. And Billie Eilish may be hard to categorize, but Bjork got there first. So, pop music will go on, but I want a little bit more.
