Introduction I don't know what popped this into my head. I was reading an old blog post about the 101ers and the band name coming from George Orwell's 1984 then I thought of Girlschool covering Gun's "Race With The Devil" and thought what road would they be on, then thought of the song "Route 66" and the road Route 66 which runs from Chicago to Los Angeles nearly two and a half thousand miles:

Introduction In the playlist above, my friend Harper Lewis asked why I hadn't included "Road To Nowhere" by The Talking Heads. The American hard rock band Guns N' Roses formed in Los Angeles in 1985. The original lineup was vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. The current lineup includes Rose, Stash, McKagan, rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Isaac Carpenter, and keyboardists Reed and Melissa Reese. In 2012 the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Time to hear them on their Guns Nā Roses World Tour 2026.

What the REAL Michael Jackson Meant to Me.
Hello one and all - again. My earliest memory of ever listening to a Michael Jackson record was roughly in 1978 when I was 6 years old and a song on the radio kept telling me to "Shicya butty don to a gruhhh!" all the while telling me also to "dance and shout". Little did I realize that I would soon be introduced to musical greatness at such an early age. The following year, 1979, another song kept singing the refrain: "Piddo. Witta buss do stow; don' stop tuh get a mop" in such a high falsetto voice, I almost thought I was hearing a Bee Gees song in fast forward. However, once my family embraced the Seventh-day Adventist church, my secular radio days were over, and I was forced to listen to interminable songs about the "Love of Jesus" and stuff like that.
