BUILDING A FAN BASE AS A MUSIC PRODUCER
There are many things that music producers think about while on their musical journey. Subjects like how to create better beats, how to network, how to mix and record better, etc, are all things that of course will help you in your craft. One thing that goes overlooked as a music producer is how to build a fan-base. The assumption is that if you build your brand big enough, that fans or your tribe will come, which has truth to it, but lets talk more about ways to be more intentional and make it happen.

Once again I just want to thank everybody for all the love and support I received on part one. I'm genuinely surprised this article is even in the top 10 all time of my most viewed articles. But that should be something to smile, because punk is not dead. So here we are publishing part 2. Here are a few more of my favorite bands that you may or may not have heard about before.

I always tell the girls, never take it seriously, if you never take it seriously, you never get hurt, you never get hurt, you always have fun, and if you ever get lonely, just go to the record store and visit your friends.

The first CD I ever bought with my own money was UP! by Shania Twain. I was 10 years old and my cunning self at the time "bought it for my mom", disguised as a birthday present for her. But in reality, I bought it for myself. It isn't that my mom didn't enjoy listening to Shania, but I knew that I was going to be listening to it WAY more.
Rostro del Sol - Rostrol del Sol
Becoming kissed by the sun can leave one delirious, left in a daze fuelled by a dizzying olfactory concoction of melting tarmac and flora in full bloom. A state of wandering intoxication heightened by the alarming midday heat unveils a nonsensical universe of curiously bizarre organisms; wandering in plain sight hidden only by sobriety's sheltering lucidity, a veil now burnt to a crisp, their resemblance to the conscious world is familiar yet somehow tenuous: something feels remarkably unusual in this place, these creatures feel different to the touch - fuzzier, more colourful - and their stare comes from somewhere other than their eyes. Are these their truest incarnations, or just playful trickery inflicted upon our perception? There's no real danger in finding out for yourself but luckily there exists a pathway without incurring heat stroke: found within the frenzied jive of Rostro del Sol's equally sun-drenched frequencies, theirs is a jubilant highway of sound unlike any you'll ever traverse within three lifetimes.

My name is Kevin Mckinney or my music production name is Kmcreates and I am a music producer and content creator from Chicago. I've had a love for music since I was young. In 4th grade I learned how to play the clarinet, so that was my first formal introduction to music. I continued that well into my teens/young adult age, and that's when my focus and attention switched to Hip Hop production. During that time it was about hardware so I've has a sp1200, two MPC 2000's , synths, keyboards and other outboard gear. I came up producing with a few local production teams in Chicago producing beats for our in house artists and other local artists. It was a great experience to work in the studio with the artists, giving feed back, receiving feed, learning how to run cables into mixers and all that goo stuff. back being a part of the creative process from top bottom.

What do I write about? I never know. — Nick Cave It’s late. After midnight. I should go to bed so I can function tomorrow. But the guitar case is staring me down from the corner of the room and a restless feeling is pinging around inside my ribcage. I surrender and strum a few chords. No particular idea in mind. No words. No real thoughts. I’ll just play a few minutes then turn in for the night. A feeling brushes across my skin and tickles my voice into humming a piece of a melody. Silly sounding non-words escape my lips carried on a tune that is being given to me.

Frank Zappa’s stuff is not everybody’s cup of tea. The same can be said of John Lennon’s stuff in the 70’s. Yoko Ono’s stuff is no one’s cup of tea, ever. So, sit back with a cup of tea and wonder at the three of them jamming together at the Filmore East Some Time In New York City…

The "chalumeau" or "primitive clarinet", derived from the cennamella, was a conical reed tube, pierced with seven holes and like the clarinet had a simple swing reed. The technique with which the reed was applied on the "chalumeau" did not allow the production of harmonics. Johann Christoph Denner was the inventor of the following transformations, so he is considered the father of the clarinet.
