Question 1: Congratulations on the release of your new single, 'Either Way.' Can you share with us the inspiration behind this song and what it means to you personally?

Thank you! The inspiration behind this song actually came after an argument I had with one of my siblings. I wrote this right after as a form of relief, and the message behind it really is about loving someone despite our differences and tensions, and especially during times of hardship. It’s funny because it kind of evolved into a romantic song, but really it was about my sibling haha.

Question 2: You mentioned that your upbringing in various countries influenced your sound. How has your multicultural background shaped your music, and can we hear those influences in 'Either Way'?

Yes, I moved a lot when I was younger. I’m French-Italian, but I also feel Swiss, and I have spent my university years in both London and New York. In between I also lived in Germany, Belgium, and Spain. I think every song varies to be honest, but I definitely see my French side come out a lot in many of my tracks, in terms of lyrics but also French-electronic. For ‘Either Way,’ it’s a very R&B influenced song, but has a lot of different sounds in the background if you listen carefully, of birds and crickets and other that were recorded from my backyard in Italy.

Question 3: The lyrics of 'Either Way' seem to explore the theme of love and commitment in the face of differences. What message do you hope listeners take away from this song?

It’s kind of a fun song that is supposed to be taken lightly. It’s easy, and I guess that’s how I see these little arguments sometimes. Of course, they are significant in some ways, but also in the grand scheme of things, they are completely insignificant and not worth the stress, sweat, and tears, you know?

Question 4: The song has a unique blend of R&B and Pop elements. How did you decide on this musical style, and how do you feel it complements the message of 'Either Way'?

That’s a good question and I’m not sure, to be honest. I kind of was playing around with my keyboard and just went with the flow. Most times that’s how I write my songs, I find a melody and usually it clicks, and I just know and feel what I want to be writing about.

Question 5: I noticed that 'Either Way' incorporates naturistic ambient sounds. Can you tell us more about the creative process behind incorporating these elements and how they contribute to the song's atmosphere?

Yes, I’m glad you noticed them! As I was saying before, these are naturistic sounds mainly recorded from the environment in my backyard in Italy. Some other sounds from my trip in Costa Rica too. I wanted it to feel relaxing, and to create this sort of reflective space for the listener.

Question 6: Your music is known for its honesty and relatability. Are there any personal experiences or stories that inspired 'Either Way,' and how do you approach writing about difficult and honest themes in your music?

The song was inspired by an argument I had with a sibling that ultimately was unnecessary. In terms of approaching my writing, I don’t know. I’m kind of an open book when it comes to this, I guess. I write everything I feel in the moment and try to transmit that through the lyrics. I kind of started writing from journaling, it really was a form of therapy for me and honestly still is.
