Britney Spears has been the centre of attention ever since she released her first single, ...baby one more time. She's been the leading figure of modern-day pop music. With an array of chart successes under her belt, it is also a sign that even with all the money and fame in the world does not stop you from suffering from mental health issues.

There’s a lot of bands and singers I used to listen to but not anymore. Britney’s story has always been a fascinating one, but I think a lot of her songs are interesting. She’s a great entertainer and her personality is great which makes her even more likable. I think being likable, and human is one of the reasons why she’s still remembered and likable today.

The older I got, the more sided with her during her public breakdown. There may be some new laws in place to prevent that kind of stalker is behaviour, but people still haven’t learned from it. Jessie from Little Mix quit her band and both the press and people online have been cruel. K-POP idols have committed suicide over relentless trolls and media stalking.

It is good that people are paying more attention to mental health, but I fear it’s too late. Much more needs to be done because it’s the poor treatment and exploitaction of others that is killing the music industry. It’s not COVID, climate change, brexit or whatever future pandemic happens. The exploitation has been happening for years, and it shows in nearly every song in Britney’s career and she’s been calling them out on it for decades.

I like this video because it shows a side to Britney that only fans can see. It shows her in better times before her mental health declined. Her music is catchy and unforgettable and in the video she brings up some good points. In my opinion she was never really scandalous, she's just a normal human being following her passion. This is why I hate Hollywood Culture, they see celebrities as robotic perfection then cause a riot when they age and do human things including mistakes.

I really wanted to like this one, but I’m not very keen on it. I don’t like the production because it feels over polished and too commercial. I think the songs could have been sung by anybody and the only song that has the real Britney twang is Work Bitch. It’s a shame because I really love the album cover.

I think the American cover looks much nicer than the international one. Britney looks so young in this picture and it makes me feel old thinking about this album. It’s classic bubblegum pop of the 90s. It’s dated, but it the hits are unforgettable. Everyone remembers Crazy and Baby One More Time, but not everyone remembers Sometimes and Born to Make You Happy. It’s a real testament to its time.

I don’t have much to say about this one. It’s great clubby dance album. I love Hold it Against Me and Criminal. The only reason I ranked this album lower is because I like the others more.

You couldn’t mistake this for anything other than a Britney albums I love the album cover with the gold and browns at the back. I don’t like the Rolling Stones cover, but I love Stronger and Lucky because of the throwbacks to the first album and how autobiographical it feels.

This album kisses goodbye to the bubblegum renaissance, and hello to the mature and sensual era. I think this was around the time she did her movie, Crossroads. I think the album is injected a lot of Britney’s personality and feelings especially in Overprotected and the song is now poignant twenty years on. I love the dirty beats to Boys and I’m a Slave 4 U. I also like a lot of the album tracks because of the pop rock vibes to Lonely. I think the album flows well. I like Britney’s cover of I Love Rock & Roll, not as much as the original but I think she was having a lot of fun with the track.

Next up is Circus, the title track along with the other singles are brilliant and have some great music videos to go with it. Even though it’s been over ten years since this album has been released, it still sounds fresh. I love the ballad, My Baby because it sounds so sweet and pleasant to listen to. Lace and Leather would have been an awesome single because I can imagine a really funky music video to it.

This album has a lot of things to offer for pop fans. The lyrics are unapologetically erotic and the production is almost flawless. Even though it dosent go explicit into sex in the songs, you can tell with the metaphors and the tone a lot of it is about sex. The highlights on this album for me include; the steamy Breathe On Me; the haunting ballad, Every time and the epic song Toxic. It also has the funky duet Madonna, that was quite a big hit after Madonna famously snogged Britney and Christina at the VMA.

Before Glory came out, Blackout, In The Zone and Circus constantly changed positions on my album rankings. Nowadays I would say that Blackout tops most of her albums because I think it’s amazing that Britney was able to record this during a time in her life where it was very dark. I love how she trolls the media with tracks like Gimme More and Peice of Me. The album has left a lasting impact on her legacy and gave her the catchphrase, “It’s Britney, bitch!”

Britney Jean wasn't as well-received as hoped, so the only way for Britney was up. I think this album is a big step up from her last record. It's really easy to like this album because she sounds like she's having fun. I love the 2020 reissue with the new cover with the sun and desert and the duet with the Backstreet Boys. There’s some great electronic gems like Matches, Mood Ring, Clumsy and Coupure Électrique. The album flows really well and it’s just a fun record. I’d say this is my favourite Britney album.
