Anti-Valentine's Day Playlist

Why? Because it f***ing sucks!

I made an anti-Valentine's Day playlist last year, and I'm making another one this year. WHY? Because it fucking sucks!

If you're single the entire first half of February is filled with "meals for two" advertisements, aisles in shops full of lovey-dovey cringy cards and engagement announcements and couples posting Instagram captions with "we've had our ups and downs but I still love you" and EWWW!

It's just not a good time and you're constantly reminded of how alone you are.

However, even if you are in a relationship, Valentine's Day isn't the greatest thing in the world either. When you're young, having a Valentine is romantic and exciting but when you get older you realise Valentine's Day is just another day, and companies just want you to buy chocolates and flowers and alcohol and any random red, heart shaped item they can create.

All round, no matter if you're single or not, this anti-Valentine's Day playlist has it all. Songs that will make you glad your single, songs that are full of female empowerment, and songs that blatantly say "F*CK YOU!" to your ex.

So, enjoy these six songs that are just a small taste of my Anti-Valentine's Day Playlist:

This Luv Suxs - phem, Tyler Posey, Audio Chateau

This is a banger! This new song from phem, Tyler Posey and Audio Chateau is the perfect song to kick of this Anti-Valentine's Day playlist.

It's a new song, only released this week, and I already have it on repeat. It has a great vibe that will have you dancing around your room. The lyrics "thank god for my right hand" sums up this song perfectly. Check it out ASAP.

(Also for any Teen Wolf fans out there, we finally have new T-Pose content, and that's the best Valentine's Day present ever!)

It's Not All About You - Lawrence

Have you ever gone on a date - or even been in a relationship - with someone who ALWAYS talks about themselves? Well this song from Lawrence is the song for you!

It's upbeat and fun, and so you won't be feeling depressed this Valentine's Day. This will really having you feeling like a bad b*tch because it pokes fun at all the bad dates you've had...EVER!

Love Sick - Lovable Rouges

First of all, this song is amazing. It makes fun of relationships throughout the entire song, and also the music video is hilarious.

If you want to listen to a great song that will make you glad you're single AND you want to see a video about a dog falling in love with another dog, then please check this song out. There would be no better way to spend your Valentine's Day!

Revenge - P!NK, Eminem

Want to hear a song about a couple who end up cheating on each other and end up hating on each other? Then this song is perfect.

It's hilarious, with a good beat and extremely catchy. It's the perfect Anti-Valentine's Day song to scream if you were in a relationship and ended up hating that person for something they did.

Also P!NK's song called "The Truth About Love" is also on the playlist, and that's another great one to listen to this Valentine's Day!

Bad Reputation - Joan Jett & The Blackhearts

This isn't necessarily a break-up song or "I hate my ex" song, but it's more of a "please remember who the f*ck you are, you bad bitch!"

Absolutely scream this song, please. It will make you feel so much better.

One last song from the playlist, that I'm calling an honorable mention, is: Spotlight - Jennifer Hudson

Let me tell you, this song personally made me realise that I don't need a man. To me, this is the most female empowering song that is just perfect for an Anti-Valentine's Day playlist!

Listen to this song, transport yourself back to the early 2000's and sing!

So, as this Valentine's Day is on Sunday, all I'm going to say is: Have a good Sunday everyone!
