The Telling Locket pt. 2
The locket guided us through the city. It was well after curfew and Stefan by now knew something special was going on with my neckless. I found his restraint admirable as I knew his curiosity was tremendous. I was getting tired and wondered how much longer before we arrived at our destination.

Fairytale Smairytale
When I was little, I loved to read. From Dr. Seuss to Maurice Sendak, it’s hard to pick which bedtime story or fairy tale meant the most. I loved how Sam liked his green eggs and ham. Were just the eggs green or the ham too (yuck)? What in the world would make eggs and ham green? These questions still boggle my adult mind. What would it have been like to be Mickey as he flew thru the night kitchen? Could I ever tame the Wild Things like Max controlled the them with his scary stare? How many times did I pretend to be scared of the monster at the end of the book, only to laugh that it was Grover every time?? I even laughed at Alexander, whose day was so bad, I was reminded just how good my life was! Alexander also taught me how not to chew gum at bedtime. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, read the book. If you are paying attention, you will learn how NOT to have a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, day. This book and countless others have adventures and lessons to learn!

The Telling Locket
It occurred to me while watching the television that we all liked something different. Krista liked the comedy; Stefan liked the drama and I preferred the documentary. We were required by the state to watch all 5 and then vote on Saturdays. Since the mandate, people had been disappearing. At first, it was something you just heard about, then, my former bunk mate, Natalie disappeared. The disappearances always occurred on Sundays and the government didn’t seem to mind that we had seen a correlation.

A Peacock’s Journey
Hello. I was born today. Or, I was drawn today. The creator cut me up with Fiskars, orange scissors and then gave me a face. Right now, she calls me Jackie Paper. I’m the first peacock ever made by my creator. I don’t know what that means but I’m the only one created today that got my own name! Using Fiskars, she also cut out other things. She called them animals but they didn’t get a special name. I think she loves me best.
