My Dad and I
I love the concept of the daughter being the apple of her father's eye. Or in my case, her stepfather. I was certainly his little girl. My biological father died when I was a month old in active-duty combat in Iraq, shortly after the invasion of Iraq was ordered by the Bush administration post-9/11. If you can't already tell, I'm very much American. Born and raised. My biological father passing away when I was that young, before I even got a chance to know him, left a mark on me that I can't even begin to describe. It's funny how you can miss someone so terribly, when that someone is a person you've never even met and won't meet until Heaven comes to take you home. That kind of pain, that seemingly never-ending chasm between you two, is unimaginable and unexplainable.

Songs of My Life
I was a 2003 baby. Which means I grew up on the tiny, square-shaped Apple iPods, cassette tapes that we always pulled the plastic out of, and CDs, although my Mum had more cassette tapes than CDs. Over the years, my music tastes have grown and expanded, from Imagine Dragons and Taylor Swift - to Christian music such as Hillsong, Casting Crowns and Lauren Daigle. I've also listened to older artists like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra - and even some younger ones such as Shawn Mendes and Ed Sheeran. And some Disney music in there too.

Top Five Kids' Movies That Are Nostalgic and Totally RewatchableTop Story - July 2022
What kids' movies did you grow up with? Maybe like a lot of American households, you grew up with Disney. Or maybe in other households, you grew up with Dreamworks movies. Or perhaps a combination of both! Either way, theres still some great kids' movies that are totally rewatchable today. Some of those thinly-veiled adult jokes can hit you square in the face, though - and probably leave you turning red or chuckling under your breath.

The Legend of Kathleen Everton
Over the next few days, Kathleen trained with the Spirit Warriors in body, mind and soul to prepare to take up her destiny as a Spirit Warrior. She grew much closer to Anna, who had taken up a sort of a spiritual aunt/guardian role over her. Eleanor was still wary of the girl, but she, too, grew closer to Kathleen. And Rayla began treating her less like a protege and more like one of them. They stayed on the outskirts of Relsin, coming into the fortress every so often to partake in a meal or for Kathleen to learn more of what her destiny entailed.
