Everyone's Freaking out over UEFA Euro 2016, and I'm Just Playing 'Rocket League'
Apparently Portugal just became the champions of UEFA Euro 2016. At least that's what Twitter is telling me. I don't follow any sports, especially soccer, which is funny since that's what one of my favorite games at the moment is all about. Well, soccer and rocket powered cars.

Top 5 Game Locations I'd Rather Be Spending My Summer In
I don't know about you, but I'm ready for summer to be over already. Here in Arizona it's hot, dry, and I'm in the "eternally bored" segment of summer vacation. I've been spending a lot of my time indoors in the air conditioning playing video games. This got me to thinking, if I could go anywhere in the virtual world, where would I go? So without further ado, here are the Top 5 virtual locations I would rather be right now.

'Pokemon Go' Not Friendly for Rural Gamers
I admit it - I was not too excited for Pokemon GO when I heard about Niantic, Inc. working on the game. It's not that I don't think Niantic is a cool company, just the opposite. They're doing great things and trying to get people out into the world to explore where they live. Unfortunately, where you live has a great deal to do with how their games play out. I played Ingress for awhile, and LOVED it. That is, until I was actually having to schedule when to make the drive to town to play the game.

EU LCS 2016 Causes Physical Tilting
We are smack dab in the middle of the League of Legends EU LCS Summer 2016. There have been a lot of ties in these "Best of 2" matches against a number of teams, with some great plays, some meh plays, and some downright dissatisfaction.

Do you ever get tired of the monotony and stress of living in modern society? Would you rather kick back and relax on your porch to the sounds of birds and cicadas or honking horns and airplanes? Tired of the hustle and bustle of city life and want to just live in a small peaceful town? Sorry, Harvest Moon is all booked up, but there's a nice little place for you waiting in Stardew Valley.

Why ‘Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ Will Probably Be My Favorite Game in the Series
I am a long-time Zelda nerd. I started my love of the Hyrule universe back at the age of four with the very first The Legend of Zelda game, and I’ve played and loved every Zelda since. I own the Hyrule Historia, I’ve read up on all sorts of theories and timelines, sorted through the lore of the franchise, and I even have a Master Sword tattoo. Before E3 2016, if you would have asked me which game was my favorite, I would have told you, “Hands down, A Link to the Past with Between Two Worlds as a close second and Ocarina in third.”

Seventeen Years of 'The Sims'
Seventeen years ago, I didn't even know what a plumbob was. Now, it's something that's synonymous with one of my favorite game titles, which has its anniversary of its original launch this week. In honor of The Sims turning seventeen, I thought we could go over a brief history of the franchise so far, beginning with the game that started it all.

Why My Kids Are Getting Pokémon Sun and Moon for Christmas
When I was a child, there was no more magical time than Christmas. I would wake up before the rising sun, rush downstairs, and stare in awe at the bounty of gifts below the glittering lights adorning the tree in the living room. It wouldn’t matter what the gifts were, and some years were leaner than others, but I will always remember that feeling of seeing presents where there were none the night before. One of the best gifts I received was actually a dual gift for me and my brother that we absolutely loved and played with obsessively for a long time – Pokémon Red and Blue.

'Postal 2' Has a Mod for Throwing Pokeballs
It was only a matter of time before the Pokemon GO augmented reality craze began to bleed into other games. But before there was Pokemon GO, there was a Pokemon mod, and in the most unlikely of places - a little shoot 'em up called Postal 2.
