Spooky Spirits In Ireland
Northern Ireland A Spirit Called Buttoncap Atop of a rocky promontory stands Carrickfergus Castle, a Norman castle located in the town of Carrickfergus. At one time it was completely surrounded by the sea. Up until 1928, the castle had an important military role and over the centuries was besieged by the Scots, Irish, English and the French. John de Courcy the conqueror of Ulster began building the castle sometime between the years 1180 AD and 1204 AD, Carrickfergus Castle has had extensions built to it over about 800 years and today it is maintained by the Environment and Heritage Service.

The Natural Beauty of Croatia
Krka National Park is located in central Dalmatia takes its name from the Krka River. It is found just a short distance away from the city of Sibenik. The park was created in order to protect the Krka River and for visitors to be able to participate in cultural, recreational, and educational activities.

Leaping Lizards
Just like sunbathers on beaches all over the world lizards love to lie in the sun all day. At night they hide near rocks and other vegetation. They are reptiles with characteristic traits of snakes forked tongues and scales. Lizards have claws to help them climb, dig and defend themselves. Often their tails are longer than their bodies and they use them to balance, climb, and for protection. There are 4,675 species of lizard and they can live up to 50 years.

Catching the British Wave
The Merseybeats The Merseybeats another British rock band from Liverpool formed in the early 1960s. Along with other bands at that time they often performed at a popular club called The Cavern. The boys in the band were Tony Crane founder, lead vocal and lead guitar, Billy Kinsley founder, lead vocals and rhythm guitar, doing the backing vocals and on the bass guitar was Bob Packham backing vocals, on keyboard and lead guitar Dave Goldberg and on the drums Lou Rosenthal .

Lonesome Nightingale
Two hands outstretched, trying so hard, to reach up to the heavens, full of the sun and white sailing ships, against a background of vivid blue - stretching to eternity. Filled with bird songs, as the wind whispered, once I had my own heavens, that made me smile and filled me with joy.

Have Some Ear Candy
A song that came out as a novelty nonsensical doo-wop song in 1962 by The Rivingtons was "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow." After a few oom and mows. you knew for sure that song was going to stay on your mind. It did make it on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Cashbox charts.

True Valentine's Scarlett and Rhett
Believe it or not despite the fact that people has so much to worry about during the Civil War and that their lives might be changed forever Valentine's were still exchanged. Valentine’s became popular among lonely soldiers and the sweethearts and wives they left behind during the Civil War. wives and sweethearts who were left waiting for them. These Valentine's cards depicted loving couples parting or scenes with battlefield tents. It was lonely on the war front and lonely at home and Valentine's brought warmth to everyone's heart.

Strange and Creepy Museums
People go to museums for the culture. They like to look at lovely works of art, exquisite statues, and other objects to be admired. There are museums where you can look at historical objects and learn about different periods in life. Then the question is why anyone would want to go to a museum to see things that are frightening. These are things that nightmares are made of yet if people did not go to these museums they would not exist. There is some kind of fascination and it might come from scary tales and horror movies.

Beauty in Black and White
Antarctic Adelie penguins are the smallest and most common of all Antarctic penguin species. These penguins can be found in colonies on islands, beaches, and along the shores of the Antarctic coast. They can be recognized by the white rings around their eyes and tails that are shorter than those of other species. Their beaks are red with black tips. Their diet consists of tiny creatures like krill and small fish.
