Steppenwolftwist
Introduction This is a two-hundred-word post from my blog Seven Days In (you can read it by clicking on this) that has close to two thousand views. I posted it in March last year but people (and no doubt many robots) are still visiting for some reason. I don't know if it's the mention of COVID, the mention of the Hermann Hesse novel Steppenwolf and its content, Bob Dylan's "TaraNtula" (which I would recommend to anyone just for the effect it will have on you) or Jordan Reyne's stunning song and video for "The Shadow Line" which I included (check the end of this for my interview with Jordan)

The Shower
On Board He was down on his luck and saw an advert in the paper. It was to take part in a trial which would involve being monitored on a two week Caribbean cruise. A suit and wardrobe would be provided on the cruise so he would fit in with the clientele and not be noticed by them. He had to follow certain patterns but nothing too rigorous.

To Stay Happy
Introduction This is one of those things, a confession, that I write when I feel I have nothing to write about. I don’t like to be always writing poetry, although that would be much easier for me, but I always try to write on a different community platform, although there are usually many things that can inspire poetry as you know if you read my rhymes.

In The Dark
He had been in bed for what seemed like weeks. He did not have the radio turned on and had left the curtains closed, it was winter so it was cold and dark. He was fighting bad ‘flu’ with what medication he had in the house and hot drinks plus cups of soup, but every day he felt either worse or certainly not better.

Songs Without Words
Introduction When I was in the Bok the band leader Andy Marshall described instrumentals as "Songs Without Words" and we had a few of those, though none made it to our demo tape that you can hear on Soundcloud link below (the pic of my ugly mug) if you feel like listening to something John Peel described as "primitive" and Stiff Records just sent us a pre-printed rejection letter. Rabid wanted to put out "Happy Birthday"/"Mystery Band" as a double "A" side single but they folded before that happened.

With A Little Luck
Introduction I have over 22K reads on Vocal accounting for $137 of read payments. However my top three most read pieces have virtually no interaction from my Vocal friends and audience yet account for almost ten per cent of my reads and therefore read income.
