Drained
It didnβt help that I had just watched John Carpenterβs βThe Fogβ. I love his minimalist compositions and he has made some amazing horror films but I really had writing to finish , but was a little uneased by the fog or mist that was now covering the village pond, which the picture window in my office looked out on.

Looking After Number One
Why I Am Writing This? I was going to write about all the things I have wrong with me and then decided that would be far too whiney and depressing, and thought it would be better to actually say how I try (not always successfully) to look after myself and my best interests..

Give It Your Best Shot
What is your best Vocal Story? I, and many other Vocal Creators, are often asked βWhat is your best storyβ or βWhat are you most proud of?β and it is a question I find very difficult to answer for many reasons, not least of them being that I have over 460 Vocal Stories to choose from. Many are poems, a few are Fiction and then there are my observations on situations, happenings, art, and creations.

Ten Folk Songs Everyone Should Be Aware Of. Top Story - February 2022.
Julie Lacksonen in her group Vocal Writing Prompts asked for a playlist of ten favourite songs in a favourite genre. My musical tastes are very eclectic, but for this one, I have chosen folk, but this playlist is a drop of water in an ocean of song. Even looking at my choices there are so many artists and songs I have missed but I hope that my choices will make you want to explore the artists in here.

A Playlist For A Muse
My Muse often tells me my choice of music is weird, and she is not the only one. A lot of music, when I hear it, reminds me of her and brings me closer to her. Some of these songs make me think of her, and maybe she will listen and think my choice is not so weird after all.

A Difficult Abecedarian Poem
This is a βDifficultβ Abecedarian Poem because the basic Abecedarian is a poem where every line starts with the next ascending letter βAβ to βZβ but this requires that every line end with the next descending letter βZβ to βAβ , so rhyme is out of the question but every line will contain 8 syllables.

Turbolenza: We are not Crazy
Hoults Yard, The Fall, King Charles, The Sound of Guns and Opencast Software In 2012 there was a festival at Hoults Yard in Newcastle, also the home of Opencast Software. The headliners were The Fall and Prince Charles was on the bill too. I went with my daughter Kirsty who had told me about King Charles and they were in the main warehouse.
