Nightmare at the Cabin
It was the second week of October. Halloween has become more popular than ever every year. The leaves have already turned pure orange, golden yellow, and bright red. It was a cold fall season. It had gotten hotter during the summer. The humidity was even worse in the summer. For now, it’s even much cooler after mid-September. It’s even been foggier every morning. It was even creepier when it’s dark at night. There was a young woman named May. She was already in her ’30s. She has average height and a slim figure in a lean toned body. She has been working many jobs at that point. Her jobs were mostly to support her family’s business after her college graduation. She also supports her younger sister, Eve, working at the ballet-fitness studio. May tried to apply to as many retail, bakeries, cafes, craft stores, and bookstores as she can. Unfortunately, everything went out from all of the horrendous rejections. It has been 7 years since then. During that time, May has to keep focusing on herself more, she is still a very independent person. She’s also become an aunt of a 6-year-old niece, Grace, and 4-year-old nephew, Roy. The kids adore May dearly, especially when she babysits them.

I Am Aunt Meghan
It was around 2014, things got very stressful for me. My family and I recently moved from an apartment to a house. My sister just met a guy(before he became my brother-in-law) since she moved in after her college graduation. I have completed and just passed those chaotic classes that drained me. I was worried that if I didn't pass my semester after I failed a midterm exam from that brutal class I ever had in my life. I had to take many appointments from speech therapy to help my language disorder to have better communication and expression in the future. I also had been prepared to do my final year at my second college. There are even more stressful classes before my graduation. Until one day, it was a big surprise out of nowhere. My sister just texted me. I am going to be an aunt (SHE’S PREGNANT!) I was speechless, shocked, and confused. I was so nervous if I wasn't gonna be a good aunt because of my mental health struggles. I'm also prepared as best as I can before the baby is born- suddenly, it's a girl. I was looking forward to having my first niece. When I was watching my sister getting an ultrasound the first time, I couldn't stop looking at my unborn niece, moving around, from the screen of a sonogram. When I was listening to my niece’s heartbeat, it was breathtaking. My family and I tried to get prepared for changing diapers, setting up the strollers, the playsets, finding lovely clothes, finding the right toys for my niece, and finding many ways to help her learn and grow.

Her Darkest Life
It was a strange day, a bit warm during the day, but too cold during the night. Not knowing what day it is, what time it is, or what the month is. The sky is white. The ground is gray. The land used to be beautiful, glorious, and playful to all people. Days or even months went by, it turned into nothing but an empty, drastic wasteland. The crops and harvest had turned into dried twigs. The buildings and houses were covered in vines, roots, ashes, and heavy dust from the dirt. The walls and doors were rusted. The windows had been shattered and covered with dust. The roads and trails had crumbled.

Cassie meets Rosemary
It was a beautiful day in the early fall season. The trees are beginning to change colors. The temperature is beginning to cool down, but it's getting close. The wind blows beautifully. The birds and cicadas were singing peacefully. There was a young sorcerer-druid, Cassie, who just went to the market festival for some shopping. The market festival is also celebrated with some fruit trees that have grown in the late summer, including pear trees and apple trees. The lights are twinkling. The confetti was so colorful. Everyone was so cheered and excited. There are also so many booths. Each of the booths has candies, bread, fruits, books, vegetables, jewelry, tools, fudge, nuts, cakes, soaps, boots, clothing/dresses, and flowers.

The Frozen Romance
It was so cold. It was as cold as ice but beautiful. When I say beautiful, I mean it's just like I watched a lot of Christmas films and even “Disney’s Frozen”, at least a few times. It was also one of my mother's favorites. Today, It was very icy at that moment. I couldn't tell how cold it was. I'd just found out that there was an ice skating rink at the biggest icy pond. This pond has had the longest thaw since late November. It was near the national park. Unfortunately, it's only during winter. I thought I could ask Mio, my lover, to go ice skating for a date. I saw her reading about the classic fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson called “The Snow Queen.” I wonder if she and her sisters ever watched “Frozen”, one and two? “Hey, Mio?” I asked. “ Have you ever seen a movie called Frozen?” I was just curious. Mio looked assuming. “I don't think so, why?” I thought about it in my mind. Dang, it! I knew it! “Oh. I didn't know that” I was ashamed of the silly questions I asked. “What's wrong, Lyle?” Mio was concerned. “Oh nothing, ” I chuckled a bit. “Would you like to see it with me? I'll make some popcorn.” “Ok, ” Mio smiles delightfully. I smiled too. “Yes!” I whispered cheerfully. I hope she likes it, but I was looking forward to it.

The Druids and the Fireflies
Once upon a time, there were two young girls named Cassie and Ceres. Cassie is a young human sorcerer-druid, and her cousin Ceres is a half-eladrin wizard were practicing their magic spells at Cassie's family cottage in the village called the FairSpring. They're both magical people, a sorcerer and a wizard. They're also druids. Druids can manage nature-themed magic. Accordingly, Cassie and Ceres were also practicing their cantrip spells. One of them it's called druidcraft. It can whisper to the spirits of nature that it can create effects like forecasting the weather, torch the light with fire, and make the plants grow. They taught each other. They laughed together. Likewise, Cassie's stomach growls. She was embarrassed and Ceres was giggling. “Are you hungry?” Then, Cassie nodded, “yeah.” So, they decided to take a break.

Hinata’s Birthday
It began in late summer at noon. The sun is so bright. The fall season is just around the corner, but very soon. The birds were tweeting peacefully. The wind blows and the trees are flowing beautifully. The air is so fresh as crystal clear. Then, some of the leaves are falling from the trees. Once there were four sisters-Hinata, Miko, Ran, and Mio. They were walking through the fields that were filled with hundreds of bright sunflowers, buttercups, dandelions, and golden marigold flowers. They began to set up their picnic with a blanket and an umbrella for their shade. Then, They began to open the basket and were ready to eat their lunch. They’re eating fresh market honey crisp apples, and the peanut butter and honey were wrapped around with very thin low-carb wraps. They drank ice-cold water.

The Special Package
It was a nice summer day afternoon on July 6th. There were two high school students- Izumi and her girlfriend, Helen. Izumi is staying at Helen’s place for a week. They are studying history, chemistry, and biology for the summer exams during their summer school. It’s only two weeks. They were outside on the patio with nice shade and very comfy furniture so they could relax and enjoy the cool summer breeze. The wind blows. The birds are singing. They were listening to lo-if tunes, which also have the chill vibe music. It helps for studying, napping, stretching after a workout, and of course, meditating.

Our Best Summer Date
Hello. My name is Lyle. Lyle Kintaro Malone-Richardson. I am 22 years old. I lived in Los Angele, CA. My life was hard after my father passed away a few years ago. I am a college student in music and arts. I also like science, technology, poetries, and drama. I am also a half time employed as a painter for the recording studio. My coworkers are very nice. Unfortunately, my boss was not a friendly person. It is a long story. Until one day, I met this mysterious lady who came by and smiled. It reminds me of that movie-what was it? ‘Xanadu’, I think. Yeah, this is when Olivia Newton John kissed Michael Beck and then she disappeared. Her name is Mio. She looked like a cherry blossom nymph. I realized her name means “a beautiful cherry blossom” in Japanese.
