Choices
Every single living being makes choices in this world, from the time your born until the day you die. I witnessed a woman struggling in life and a thought came to me. At what point in her souls journey did she make the first bad choice that led her to where she is today? One might say destiny but we are given free will so at the end of the day it comes down to choices. Do you choose to call it a tomato or a tomato see it's the same thing we just choose different names for it. Take these two older gentlemen who had been rivals for what seemed like forever and there latest feud was whether cola was called “soda” or “pop” now from the outside looking in we can all agree it's the same thing but we choose to give it a name and therefore it has power. Power in the belief to know it as the name you know it as. Your father and his before him all called id it “soda” or “pop” but it is and always has been simply the same thing, a carbonated beverage. We are arguing about the same thing, both trying to argue the same point but only able to in one's own words. Blinded that there could be another outlook or another angle to every situation. Only being able to see what your able to see until that one day arises that something or someone challenges that point view. Do you at this point stop because your point of view is correct and it's not possible that it could be wrong? Or do you stop and analyze the situation and see if there could be fault to your own point of view or to validate it. But again “soda” or “pop” at the root of every argument your both seeing it from your own point of view. From what you were given in life up until that point in time that something or someone was introduced to offer you a choice. When one is able to simply see that you are both arguing about the same thing then you can understand the other persons point of view “soda” or “pop”. At some level most of your beliefs are probably the same but your getting hung up on semantics. Agree to disagree on that one point and you'll find your a lot more informed and able to create a new hypothesis on the subject at hand in a healthy way. Stop getting caught in the weeds, tripping over the pebbles that seem like boulders but once conquered were merely stumbling blocks in retrospect. Maybe these have always been the choices we choose every day that slowly pile up onto each other like the biggest game of pig pile ever created. One day spiraling out of control and waking up and asking what happened? Then someone like myself witnessing one from afar asking again when in her souls journey did she make the first choice that got her here now.

Why do we choose to be fat?
Why do so many struggle to lose weight? Have we just learned to hide our emotions in our food? Eating makes us happy no matter how bad a day we had our favorite comfort food always fills the spot. But at what point does it just become mindless eating? I was 320 pounds and felt horrible every day. If you've ever been fat you know the struggle to just tie your shoes. Out of breath all of the time and always uncomfortable your always thinking of food or losing weight. The struggle is real and once you let yourself go to far the work that must be done is much harder than just saying no to begin with. Why do we continue to punish ourselves and force feed? In my journey to get "healthy" I pretty much tried every diet. With much resolve each of them worked and at the core they all were asking to restrict calories for the most part. In conjunction with working out they all state they are the best diet and the fastest. But time after time and diet after diet you and failure after failure you still keep trying. Deep down you know you need to put in the work but everything you tried so far has failed you. You start to question whether you'll every be skinny or healthy.
