The Captured Princess
“Nobody can hear you scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say.” I thought as an explosion threw my shocked body out of gravity and into the unknown. The vast, open unknown darkness of space. Just before the explosion, I was sitting in my quarters, the grand princess of Athornia’s quarters. This is a heavy title, but I think I carry it as well as to be expected considering I am only sixteen years old. A baby in time. With generations still alive and able to thrive. See, in the world I come from, Athornia, we are not human, not like earth. We live to be hundreds sometimes a thousand years old. We look like humans, except when we use our powers, then we take our natural state. It differs for each one of us Athornian’s.
