Ticking Clock

A Poem

No time is left

The clock knows best

Ticking away

Every terrifying day

Growth didn't stand a chance

Not with all I lament

Life does not feel heaven sent

With darkness clutching all I have left

And reaching so far into my naive depths

Replacing love, for rage

Hatred has now taken the stage

Now I'm hanging on by a thread

Searching for a reason to live

Not one, hasn't deceived

My rights, by making me bleed

Will anyone ever see

The consequences of my reprieve

It's near damning

the consequences of their actions

And all my delaying tactics

Because all I really need

Is for someone to care about me.
