'Eddie The Eagle' Will Inspire And Terrify You In the Best Way Possible
2016 is shaping up to be another great year for movies and with the likes of Eddie The Eagle, the year is already off to a flying start! Based on the true story of Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, this movie is a brilliant mix of humor, intensity, and heart that positions it to be one of most inspiring films of the year. There are a lot of reasons why you should go see this movie, not the least of which are the stellar performances of Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service).
James Corden Is Deadpool's New British Sidekick
With the massive success of Deadpool, I had thought that maybe Ryan Reynolds would start to pump the breaks and rest on his laurels a bit. Apparently, I'm not that good at predicting things because he's still at it. This time he's joined by James Corden of The Late Late Show as he tries to pitch some of his ideas for Deadpool's sidekick. I mean, sure, Cable is supposedly going to be in the next movie, but you can't let little details like that stop you from going after your dreams. Granted, James' ideas weren't that solid ranging from Tentakill to Strawberry Short Fuse which is basically just a strawberry that gets angry real quick.
Sia Wigs Out With James Corden for Some Carpool Karaoke
"Carpool Karaoke" is easily one of the most popular segments of The Late Late Show with James Corden and with good reason. What could be more awesome than jamming out in the car to your favorite music while having the artist sing along with you? James has had the likes of Adele, Justin Bieber, One Direction, and more help him drive to work while belting out the hits in his car. The latest to throw their hat (or wig, I guess) in the carpool karaoke ring is Sia who graced James with some of her biggest songs like "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart."
Hulu's New Series '11.22.63' Already Has Me Addicted
Something amazing has been happening in the last couple of years in the realm of entertainment, specifically television. The shift from traditional television media to online content has been chugging along with great series like Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, and Jessica Jones giving viewers new ways to burn hours of their day. A lot these great shows seem to be coming from Netflix, but that hasn't stopped other streaming websites from trying their hand at original content. Hulu has a few great original pieces of its own and its most recent addition, 11/22/63, is looking to be one of its strongest additions yet.
Deadpool Crashes 'Eddie the Eagle' Press Junket
All around amazing human being, Ryan Reynolds, has been making the rounds for the cinematic triumph that is Deadpool. Press and promotion has, understandably, kept him busy. However, he did have enough time to drop in on Hugh Jackman during a press junket for Eddie the Eagle to ask some hard hitting questions.
You Have to See This AMAZING Fallout 4 Cosplay
I'm a simple man. I see great cosplay and I press "like" and there is definitely a lot to like about this Sole Survivor cosplay. Texas-based cosplayer Viverra Cosplay looks like she just stepped out of Vault 111 with a clean looking jumpsuit and some sweet leather armor to go with it.
Straight Outta Norway (Part 2): 5 Cosplayers That Are Killin' The Game
Cosplay has been going global for a while now and fantastic cosplayers have been cropping up all over the world. Norway is no exception, apparently. I didn't know a lot about the cosplay community in Norway and while they're relatively small, they pack a helluva punch. With that in mind, here are five cosplayers you really should definitely check out.
Straight Outta Norway: RebbKatt Talks Cosplay, Armor, And The Norwegian Cosplay Scene
I talked about Norwegian cosplayer, RebbKatt, and her insanely good N7 armor back in November and I've been wondering about how the hell that thing got put together ever since. I finally got my answer when I recently had a chance to sit down and have a chat with her (which was no small task because time zones are hilarious like that).
Moonwalkers: Lots of potential, but falls flat
Basing its premise on a popular conspiracy theory, Moonwalkers takes us through the Swinging Sixties with Agent Kidman (Ron Perlman) attempting to make fake moon landing footage just in case the actual Apollo mission fails. He goes off to London to meet with Stanley Kubrick's agent to drum up a meeting with the director so he can convince him to do the project. Instead, he meets with Jonny (Rupert Grint) who poses as Kubrick's agent so he can pocket the cash for himself. Jonny passes off his friend, Leon (Robert Sheehan), as Kubrick and things go downhill from there. It's pretty much a play on "Can this day get any worse?" Fun fact, it really does.
Fallout 4: War Never Changes And I'm Strangely Okay With That
I'll be honest with you, I've been playing a lot of Fallout 4. How much, you ask? Well, according to my trusty Steam Shame Tracker™, I know that I've sunk in about 294 hours into the game since its release on November 10th. I can't tell if that's a lot. It's probably a lot. Have I accomplished much? Have I found everything there is to find? Built everything that can be built? Nope. I've just made three separate game runs doing everything slightly differently from the previous run with vaguely different play styles. That's the magic of the Fallout games, isn't it? It's pretty much the same thing, but at the same time it's not. I've tried to come up with a reason why it's so appealing and it's really hard to put into words. I'm still going to give it a try though. Brace for ranting.
Gwendoline Christie Seriously Thought She Wasn't Going to Be Captain Phasma in Star Wars 7?
There are still eleven days until Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens hits theaters and I already identify Gwendoline Christie with Captain Phasma as much as I do with Brienne of Tarth from Game of Thrones.
Gwendoline Christie Hints at Captain Phasma's Influence in Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend an exclusive press event for the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I rant about the entire experience here. During the event, I had the added privilege of sitting with none other than Captain Phasma herself, Gwendoline Christie. To say that I was calm during the entire sit down would be a blatant lie. Luckily for me, Gwendoline is an amazing human being and was nothing but patient with me so major props to her for that.
