I love writing poetry, especially Shakespearean Sonnets, about family members, and different feelings and things. My family means the world to me! I have recently have had 4 deaths in my family in the last 6 months. It has changed my life!

In March of 2021, I had to write a Shakespearean Sonnet for school. My teacher told our class about the Sue C. Boynton Poetry Contest in Whatcom County. I knew I wanted to enter. I entered the contest with two of my other classmates. All three of us received awards!! Our teacher said he usually doesn’t have kids win. From that point on, I fell in love with poetry, primarily Shakespearean Sonnets.
