Colin Trevorrow Reveals His 'Episode IX' TIE Marauder
The Star Wars sequel trilogy became increasingly controversial as the films went on. The Force Awakens was well-received, though many people saw it as an unnecessary rehash of A New Hope. The Last Jedi split audiences almost down the middle between regular moviegoers who liked it (not to mention its critical success) and the rabid section of the fanbase that decried it as the worst thing since "I don't like sand." (Of course, there are long-time fans who do enjoy the film and can still have criticisms here and there.) The final film in the trilogy, The Rise of Skywalker, was met with mixed reviews from both the audience and the critics. Some found it to be too focused on fanservice, and some felt that it did not live up as a conclusion to the saga. Opinions are all over the place for these films.

Zack Snyder Hints at a Longer Runtime for His Cut of 'Justice League'
The DCEU film Justice League has been a hot topic of much comic book movie discussion since its release in November 2017. Zack Snyder could not complete the film due to a tragedy in the family, so Joss Whedon took over. The resulting film had a 120-minute runtime and was deemed underwhelming to many moviegoers. Even if it was not terrible, it should have been better for what it was. After all, the Justice League are DC's iconic team of high profile superheroes. Since the film's release, there have been tidbits about just how different Zack Snyder's version of the film would have been, prompting a sect of DC fandom to campaign for this version using #ReleaseTheSnyderCut.

Wonderstorm Animated Series 'The Dragon Prince' Renewed for Four More Seasons
Fans of the Wonderstorm-produced The Dragon Prince, an animated fantasy series, have gotten their wish and more. The series made its debut on Netflix in September 2018 and has gained a loyal following, with some perceiving it as a spiritual successor to the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender. Even setting aside the fact that it was co-created by Avatar: The Last Airbender head writer and executive producer Aaron Ehasz, as well as the fact that Sokka voice actor Jack DeSena voices Callum here, The Dragon Prince has a similar type of humor that complements the fleshed-out world that it inhabits.

Donald Glover Is Reportedly Coming Back To Star Wars As Lando Calrissian
When Solo: A Star Wars Story came out in the summer of 2018 to mixed critical and audience reviews, there was one aspect of it that nearly everyone agreed on: Donald Glover's performance as Lando Calrissian was the highlight of the movie. Some fans even said that he stole the spotlight from the main character, Han Solo. As expected, demand was high for Star Wars to incorporate Glover's Lando in future installments of the franchise. Around the time of Solo's release, rumors pointed to the possibility of a Lando spinoff, and though LucasFilm confirmed nothing, even Glover spurred on the speculation. As Solo was releasing in theaters, Glover showed great interest in a potential spin-off, and even pitched a feature film idea for Lando, painting the picture of a heist film similar to Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can.

It is no secret that Rian Johnson lost a lot of fanboy goodwill with his release of the highly controversial The Last Jedi. He did not. After gaining much negative audience reception from The Las Jedi, he was at a critical juncture in his career in regards to what movie to do next.

Casting Begins on 'Game of Thrones' Spinoff
It is no secret that the ending of, Game of Thrones, one of the best TV shows of all time, was controversial, to say the least. There likely has not been as much astronomical hype for the ending of a TV show than there was for Game of Thrones. With some of the best TV moments of all time such as The Red Wedding, The Battle of the Bastards, and the fate of Ned Stark, some wondered whether the ending could live up to any of the hype the show had created over the course of the preceding eight years.
