The summer of 2020 is mercifully almost over. By now, you and your younglings have spent more than 100 days in togetherness bliss. No doubt, everyone is feeling an extra special sense of restlessness due to the prolonged lockdown. There are even some days you may have loved them a little less, especially when your four-year-old flushed a brick down the toilet. Not your angel? Maybe just the one I know.

The Musical Minds Behind the Animated Sitcom 'Central Park'
Music is one of the more important but overlooked aspects that goes into making a successful piece of media. A good song or musical score can set the tone, establish character, change the mood, and even create characters entirely. Without John Williams' score, the shark in Jaws is just a camera going through the water. A great score can be a character unto itself.

The Delayed 'Mulan' Now Set for Disney+ and Certain Theaters in September
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a turbulent time as far as movie releases go. Early on, Disney made the decision to release Pixar’s Onward on Disney+ shortly after it had been put in theaters. Since then, they have had to push back Marvel films, the next of which was supposed to be Black Widow.

'Solo' Director Denies Sequel Is In The Works
Solo: A Star Wars Story was a sort of anomaly in the greater Star Wars film series. The films are generally box office smashes, regardless of how good the actual movie is. Especially in this day and age, seeing one that does not break some kind of box office record is rather strange. That is what made Solo so odd. It was a box office flop, barely making its budget back, but it is still regarded as one of the better Star Wars films post-original trilogy. It is widely seen as flawed, but fun.

Anthony Mackie Explains Why He Criticized Marvel Studios About Diversity
The movie industry has come a long way in its inclusion and portrayal of minorities since it began. Early silent films such as The Birth of a Nation portrayed African Americans as essentially uncivilized monsters only out to hurt the good white people. Even if you think we have a long way to go to be truly inclusive, one has to admit that the film industry has made serious advances.

Hollywood Horror Nights Bites the Dust as Universal Officially Cancels Annual Event
Halloween Horror Nights 2020 has been officially canceled by Universal Studios. The cancellation of this frightfully fun event is, of course, due to the coronavirus. All Universal Studios theme parks have been closed indefinitely following the World Health Organization (WHO) declaration of a global pandemic due to COVID-19. This announcement follows Disney’s cancellation of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party last month. Universal promises that the event will return in 2021. In the meantime, they will plan Halloween themes as part of their daytime schedule. Universal is also reviewing plans to re-open its Orlando park doors soon.

Title Screen From ‘LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’ May Have Leaked
Legos and Star Wars have gone hand in hand for about as long as The Phantom Menace has been around. They are two brands that have fueled the imaginations of many people around the world. Many kids (and adults) over the years have had the chance to build Star Wars characters and vehicles out of Lego pieces. The popularity of the line eventually led to the launch of a video game series from Traveller's Tales, starting with 2005's Lego Star Wars: The Video Game. Along with the video games that followed since then, there have been Lego Star Wars shorts and TV shows.

Check Out These New Looks at Lightsabers Belonging to Yoda, Anakin, and More!
"That lightsaber was Luke's. And his father's before him. And now, it calls to you." When Rey held what was once Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber for the first time, audiences everywhere were aware of its history. After all, it was the first lightsaber that we ever saw, when Luke wielded it in A New Hope. The lightsaber was groundbreaking at the time, a weapon unlike any that audiences had ever seen. Now, over three decades later, we have seen a myriad of lightsaber variations, from Darth Maul's double-bladed red lightsaber in The Phantom Menace, to Ahsoka Tano's two shorter sabers featured in The Clone Wars, to Kylo Ren's crossguard lightsaber first seen in The Force Awakens.

Hailee Steinfeld Rumored To Be Cast As Kate Bishop for 'Hawkeye' on Disney+
One of the upcoming shows for Disney+ is a series about one of the less famous (at least to casual movie-goers) of the Avengers (especially before the 2012 film). This Avenger is, of course, the bow-wielding Hawkeye. A perfect shot with his weapon of choice, he developed a small following, but was never as popular as the core three of Captain America, Iron Man and Thor. Part of that likely is due to the fact that even in comic lore he does not have the draw that the other three do. The other part, however, is likely due to the fact that he never had his own standalone films or shows to introduce Jeremy Renner's take on the character.
