Villainess Review: Autumn Delaney (Good Witch)
With the seventh season of Good Witch closing in, I decided to finally resume binge-watching the series after trailing off while watching Season Five. Very recently, I finished watching Season Five and moved to the most recent of the Good Witch specials that usually air between seasons, the aptly titled, "Curse from a Rose."

Villainess Review: Anna Mill (Law & Order: SVU)
"Caretaker," a twentieth season episode of Law & Order: SVU, began with a grisly scene, as Julian Mill and his daughter Rachel were both found stabbed to death. Also stabbed was Charlie Mill, the younger offspring, who clung to life before fatally succumbing to his injuries. Anna Mill, Julian's wife and the mother of Rachel and Charlie, was interviewed by Olivia Benson and Amanda Rollins about the deaths, with Anna reacting with shock and horror over the loss of her husband and children. Regarding suspects, the family's nanny, Delores Alverez, was one, though Anna spoke fondly of Delores when asked about her. However, Anna later changed her tune and voiced her regret over hiring Delores, as Anna not only believed that Delores and Julian were having an affair, she also believed that Delores could be the killer.

Villainess Review: Kristin (Brutal Bridesmaids)
Lifetime Movie Network gave us this film, Brutal Bridesmaids, in February 2021, which made me absolutely giddy because the title guarantees that a villainess will appear. But I'm getting ahead of myself, let's set the stage.

North Division Semifinal Series Are Officially Set
The North Division will be the last of the four divisions to have all of its teams play the full 56 games, but they join the East and Central in officially locking in their Division Semifinal series. The Winnipeg Jets needed one point to clinch 3rd place in the North, and their 5-0 win over the Vancouver Canucks did just that, locking in third place and cementing the Montréal Canadiens in fourth. The Jets will face off against the Edmonton Oilers in the North Division Semifinals, while the other semifinal series will feature the Toronto Maple Leafs against the aforementioned Canadiens. With this divisional format back for the first time since the 1992-93 season (for this season only), it will assure us that a Canadian team will advance to the third round of the playoffs for the first time since 2018.

West Division & Presidents' Trophy Race Down to the Wire
Wow! I knew when this season started and the format was announced that this would be immensely thrilling. I knew this not just as a hockey fan, but as a Colorado Avalanche fan as well. The Avalanche were placed in the West Division along with the three California teams (Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks), the Arizona Coyotes, the St. Louis Blues, the Minnesota Wild, and most importantly, the Vegas Golden Knights. This is the first and only time that the Avalanche and Golden Knights serve as division rivals, and the rivalry has been very intense and entertaining. It really is a shame that come next season, these two teams will be placed back in their respective divisions; the Golden Knights will be back in the Pacific Division, while the Avalanche will return to the Central Division.

Pros and Cons: Charlotte Flair
Without question, there is an immense duality when it comes to being a fan of Charlotte Flair--a highly talented star in WWE's Women's Division. It's no doubt that Charlotte is one of the most passionate and determined workers in not just WWE, but wrestling overall, and she does get rewarded for it handsomely. However, that's where the duality comes in, as the accolades she receives just happen to be immense, leaving fans wondering if she's in the picture just a bit too much. Here are the pros and cons regarding Charlotte Flair.

Villainess Review: Lydia and Natalie (Blue Bloods)
The Blue Bloods episode, "Another Look," sees Danny Reagan and Maria Baez investigating a case of sexual assault, as a young woman--Natalie--was accusing a married man by the name of Mark Forman of assaulting her at a bar. According to Natalie, she and Mark met at a bar and had drinks with him, but afterwards, Mark invited Natalie to his room, and became violent with her when she refused. Both detectives visited the Forman household and spoke to Mark's wife, Lydia, about the charges against her husband, with Lydia appearing to be concerned and shocked regarding Mark. As for Mark, he stated that he only talked to Natalie and added that it was nice to experience a friendly conversation with a woman, as he never got that with Lydia. According to Mark, Lydia only spoke to Mark with venom in her voice.

Villainess Review: Janice Roseland (Memories of a Murder)
This weekend, Lifetime gave us Memories of a Murder (originally titled, Souvenirs), which centered on a young woman named Gail, who was running a murder memorabilia shop. The shop served as a target of ridicule and vandalism from a group of teens led by Tori Kelly, and it was after eggs were thrown that Gail was visited by Janice Roseland, a detective who spoke to Gail about the vandalism and her shop. The film's progression sees Gail on the receiving end of calls from a mysterious killer, who had been taunting Gail and ordering her to sell some of the items from the shop. The caller also claimed that Gail's father was a killer himself, and that he created both of them.

Battle of Florida in the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs
On Friday, the Tampa Bay Lightning lost to the Dallas Stars by a score of 5-2, which gave the Central Division title to the Carolina Hurricanes. Why is that important? Because Carolina clinching first place officially locks in the first Stanley Cup Playoff series of this season, and for the first time ever, the Tampa Bay Lightning will face off against the Florida Panthers in a best-of-seven playoff series. These two teams have co-existed together for 28 years; the Lightning debuted in 1992, while the Panthers joined the league a year later in 1993. Though even then, the Lightning had a leg up on their in-state rivals, as their debut was the big story of the 1992-93 season, while the Panthers were pretty much overshadowed in the 1993-94 season, by the relocation of the Minnesota North Stars to Dallas, and the debut of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

30 Years: A Look at the San Jose Sharks
The San Jose Sharks have always fascinated me as a hockey fan. They debuted in the NHL in 1991, becoming Northern California's second and most successful attempt at an NHL franchise, after the failure of the Oakland Seals/California Golden Seals. This season, the Sharks are currently celebrating 30 years as a franchise, but this is actually their 29th season of play--their 30th playing season will occur next year. This team has been good for their entire existence, but can't seem to go far. Here's a look at their complete history.

Villainess Review: Cali (Walker)
The CW's Walker series (a reboot of CBS' Walker, Texas Ranger) sees Cordell Walker returning to duty a year after the murder of his wife, Emily Walker--a crime that hadn't been solved until the series' ninth episode, "Rule Number 17." Even prior to the episode, there was an assumed culprit in the form of Carlos Mendoza, but he was cleared and released. Episodes earlier, Geri Broussard, Emily's best friend and the owner of a bar known as The Side Step, was a suspect--and that actually increased in the episode.

Villainess Review: Sarah Elsworth (Killer Competition)
On November 1, 2020, Lifetime gave us Killer Competition (aka Top of the Class), which centered on main protagonist Nicole Ward and her plans to become valedictorian and attend her dream college, Westbridge. However, she had an academic rival of sorts in the form of Victor Miller, who was the ex-boyfriend of Nicole's best friend, Sarah Elsworth, and had the same exact goals as Nicole. Sarah decided to convince Nicole to switch Victor's essay with a forgery to increase Nicole's chances, and as a result, Victor received a failing grade.
