Without question, there is an immense duality when it comes to being a fan of Charlotte Flair--a highly talented star in WWE's Women's Division. It's no doubt that Charlotte is one of the most passionate and determined workers in not just WWE, but wrestling overall, and she does get rewarded for it handsomely. However, that's where the duality comes in, as the accolades she receives just happen to be immense, leaving fans wondering if she's in the picture just a bit too much. Here are the pros and cons regarding Charlotte Flair.

Pros - There is no question that there is a lot to like about Charlotte Flair. I myself love her passion and her drive for wrestling; it's hard to believe (though not that hard) that Charlotte is approaching nine years in WWE! In that time, I and other fans have seen an immense evolution; when she started, she was the daughter of two-time Hall of Famer and 16-time World Champion Ric Flair, and was just getting her feet wet in the wrestling business. Now? She's a wrestling megastar, making history left and right, and is forging her own path to the Hall of Fame.

I also love her in-ring persona. While Charlotte is equally amazing as a face and a heel, I do enjoy her evil side just a bit more, and I have read that Charlotte does enjoy her evil "Queen" persona as well. Regardless of character, Charlotte is strong and powerful. As a face, she doesn't back down and stands up to anyone and everyone. As a heel, Charlotte is ruthless, conniving, and (justifiably) arrogant. Both sides are just amazing and fun to watch.

Charlotte is one of four female Grand Slam Champions in WWE

Cons - The overly repeated drawback to Charlotte is...well...she wins everything. Charlotte Flair is a twelve-time Women's Champion. Twelve! She's won the NXT Women's Championship twice, the Raw Women's Championship four times, the SmackDown Women's Championship five times, and she was the final Divas Champion. If you count her run as Women's Tag Team Champion with Asuka, that's thirteen titles overall. That's a lot of hardware. As much as I love Charlotte, I was hoping Trish Stratus' record wouldn't be touched, and if it was, it would be Mickie James who surpassed her. Trish's tally has been obliterated.

The drawback happens to include the added negative bonus that Charlotte's accolades often come at the expense of women who needed elevation, with Vince McMahon and Creative's need to have Charlotte in the main picture, with the latest example taking place on the latest Raw, which saw Charlotte added to the Raw Women's Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash--which was originally set to be Rhea Ripley vs Asuka, a rematch from WrestleMania. Three of the biggest examples have come in the last two years, beginning with Charlotte winning the SD Women's Championship from Asuka in 2019 just to make her Triple Threat Match with Becky Lynch and Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey a "Winner Takes All" affair. The two more glaring examples came in 2020: Charlotte winning this year's Women's Royal Rumble, which led to her defeating Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women's Championship--neither of which really needed to happen.

Overall, while I do see clear evidence that Charlotte's in the main picture just a bit too much, it does not take away the fact that she's one of the best in WWE's Women's Division. I am not, nor will I ever be, on the "Charlotte gets everything because of her name" bandwagon, that gets said a lot. Is Charlotte in the picture a lot? Yes. Does she need even half of the titles she's won? No. But has she earned it? Yes. Whether you agree with Charlotte's constant elevation or you don't, there is no denying that Charlotte has worked very hard to excel and and accomplish all of her goals. However, WWE really does need to cut back on putting Charlotte in title matches all of the time, because if they don't, the anger at the powers that be will turn into anger and hatred towards her.
