Terri, The Rescued Barn Owl
Jordan and I are huddled down on the muddy grass, under Margie Gordan’s chicken barn. Although I am covered in chicken muck, my heart is racing fast as I hold onto one part of the dynamite stick. I tell Jordan to quit quivering like a sissy and be a man. But since he is only half a year older than my fifteen years, I knew it was all hot air.

Getting A Good Night's Sleep Is Good For The Body
This year, as we march towards the Chinese Year of the Tiger, I pledge to give myself just the right amount of sleep. Too much sleep, I feel tired the next day. Too little sleep often robs me of the ability to do tasks the next day.

How To Use Google Maps To Earn Money For Work, Or As A Side Gig
I evaluated Google maps to see how effective it would assist me to get to my new job site. I'm happy to report that the application worked incredibly well. The following time I utilized it, I deliberately neglected to take a left-hand turn on the following road, and the application required one moment to recalculate my area and afterward declared the following road to take. I continued to test the application and missed more roads and Google Maps reacted by conveying new directions. The application is astonishing and I would enthusiastically recommend Google maps on the off chance that you really want to deliver food, or need to track down another location for work or fun.

The Amazing Power Of Numbers
When I was a teen in high school, one of my favourite teachers liked to teach some students his belief in numerology. Mr. Bentley was a gentle teacher with a penchant for playing his instrument in front of the class, as well as show some students the meaning of our names.

The Quiet Mr. Curtis
The rosary in her hands comforted her a little, but just a little. Lucy Chow finally unclasped her hands and put the rosary in a little plastic bag near her computer. She was done asking Mother Mary to send help. Mary must be totally busy, and has forgotten all about me, Lucy grumbled to herself as she helped herself to another cup of percolated coffee.

Halloween Fun for Cats and Their Owners
Here we go again. It's that time of year for adults to dress up as their favorite super hero or villain. It's a fun time for kids, too, to go outdoors and do trick or treating. For some owners like myself, I like to dress up my cat, Marco. He's a Turkish-Van cat with a gentle personality that likes treats, and prefers to sleep on just newly made beds, or the laundry basket.

Zen And The Art Of Dog Walking
Retirement may be a dream for most people, but the reality of having an unscheduled life may sound exciting for some people. In fact, I had all these plans to do things --like write a book, go on a singing tour, and do more travel. But somehow, all my goals and desires just seemed to have drained away after I retired on that fateful afternoon in September this year.

Our Furbabies Are Our Biggest Supporters
Who needs medicine when there are cats? I have to say that my life is significantly better with cats in our lives. Our 2 cats names Marco and Marcia arrived in our lives more than 8 years ago. They are the best of friends and Marco, the big orange cat, loves to dress up for holiday occasions-- Halloween is no exception. I lucked out and found the very last 2 pet costumes at my local dollar store. In general, Marcia, the tortoiseshell cat, is more shy and more curious as to why I even bother to put on a costume for her as she knows nothing about this crazy holiday season.

A TV Host Gives A Loving Touch To My Mom
At one point, we used to subscribe to a show on cable, called, "Later...With Jools Holland." He’s the British chap who hosts a BBC show featuring a list of stellar musicians from the past and the present. This wonderful host has been doing it since 1992 and he could be considered the current Ed Sullivan, the TV legend who showcased the likes of Elvis and The Beatles.
