Aquarium - Comedy Of Errors
HOW DARE HE? Maya stood on the side, fuming while watching the aquarium officials pull her boyfriend - Sanjay, out of the aquarium. The crowd had edged away from her as if she was a maniac who pushed people into tanks. Pringles made a loud crunch as Maya bit on them ferociously, defying the looks she was getting. If only they knew her reason - their sympathy would be for her and not him. She took out her kerchief from her red purse and brushed sweat away from her forehead. The humidity in the aquarium was palpable.

Chapter 1 - Friend or Murderer
'Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say.' Arya's mom told her with a wink. Arya and her mom were sitting on the window ledge, their favourite spot staring at the space with chocolate chai. Arya's parents Ram and Sita, were considered THE most brilliant people in the colony. They were working on a project to discover and communicate with other space colonies. Once Earth had become uninhabitable - groups of humans had taken the space fuel Allinone to start new colonies in space. And they had not been able to get in touch since then. Arya loved these evenings with her mom when they would have chai and talk about the history and other topics. Suddenly the glass pane broke, and her mom was sucked into the space. Life Is a Video Game On A Loop
Vinod woke up to a familiar but strange face staring at him. The Female in front of him reminded him of someone back home. He shook his head to clear the fogginess. He looked around - it was definitely not his room or his home. He seemed to be on some kind of a moving object made of metal with wheels that needed oiling badly and, surprise, surprise - was running on electricity. Maybe he was in the museum where they kept such locomotives. But then, none of them was in working condition as electricity was non-existent not only on his planet but their entire galaxy.

Fish, Jackfruit And Ice Apple (Nungu)
Summer holidays remind me of the hot sun beating down on my head while I played outside when the rest of the world would be taking shelter from the heat. I would wake up without having to be prodded, take a bath, and escape before my parents assigned me tasks. And then I would be out of their sight until it was time for dinner or a quick bite for lunch.

Stop The War Within To Stop The War Outside
I am sure most of us are following the Russia-Ukraine situation. And that probably brings up a range of emotions from fear to outrage, disbelief to despair. For me, I cannot get over the fact that we have humans (like you and me) in this day and age who believe that marching tanks into the middle of a city, bombing nurseries, killing other humans (like you and me) are even possible. It is such a primitive and barbaric act that my mind cannot grasp that it is actually happening today on our planet.

Laughter Is The Best Medicine
Yesterday was one of those days at work. When I planned my day on Thursday evening - my Friday work calendar was a dream come true. I only had a couple of meetings where all I had to do was listen. So I wake up Friday morning, meditate, exercise and get ready for work. And when I show up for work - I get a fifteen-minute meeting while I am in a meeting. And if you have experience with corporate meetings, these quick meetings are the killer. Come to think about it, in some of the longer ones; you can literally take a nap and not miss a thing.

Magic Bullet - Diversity in thought with a dash of self-awarenessRunner-Up in We Have a Dream Challenge
I do not belong anywhere. As a child, we moved around a lot, so different people's cultures are the only way I know how to live. And as I grew up, I realised that we are all different but one at the same time—unity in Diversity.

Priceless and Invaluable
My mom is a magician. I can watch a recipe video or have her send me an email with step by step instructions and still not get it right. But, if I watch her cook the recipe one time - I get it. The magic is in the tiny nuances passed from generation to generation - like soaking the tamarind in water and using the juice instead of tamarind paste. Or how mixing the spices in oil first and then adding vegetables makes them tastier. The experience contained in the vessel that I know as my mom is priceless.

Where does judgement come from?
Meera could pluck her feathers with her beak all day long but, she could not believe that she had finally been accepted to the world-famous - 'The Grand Owlish University'. The university was known for its diverse owl population. Owls from all over the world competed to get into this esteemed historical establishment. She had got a call from Mr Owl-President stating how proud she had made her country India. Not a lot of owls from India made it into the outside world. It's not like it was easy for an Indian Owl and that too a female one to get admission. She knew many of her peers did not even try outside because of their label. Her kind had a reputation and not a good one, unlike her western peers. And since arriving at the university, she hadn't really felt as if she belonged - truly. Even her feathers drooped as she walked around the school corridors.
