The Prank. Top Story - January 2023.
"Reset your password” the computer screen flashed. I was about to begin class, and I ignored the prompt. I’m Jerry Lugar, a sixth grade science teacher at Pearl Middle School. This period I was teaching the ‘troubled’ students. I assumed they had done something to the computer to activate the prompt, so I’d deal with it after class. Every day they’d play another prank.

The Watch
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. Levi had taken Ellie from her parents when she was three. He had wanted a child, but was single and told he couldn’t adopt. This triggered a darkness in Levi that could only be satisfied by completing a sinister plan he hatched to take somebody else’s child. Every day, he heard voices telling him to do so until he finally took a child.

The Mansion Witch
I owned half a mansion, I inherited it from my great grandfather. A witch owned the other half, she got it from her great grandmother. Our great grandparents were briefly married, got divorced, found other people, had children with the other people, but decided to each keep half of the mansion. It made taxes cheaper, even though neither person was a keeper.

Raising Grace
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. While John had been there for Grace her whole life, her mother had not. She had run off shortly after birth, leaving John to care for Grace alone. John had told Grace never to go outside, the radiation was still at dangerous levels and whatever it didn’t kill, it mutated.
