The Moon In Carlisle Cathedral
A Simple But Amazing Sight

Introduction
For a few years, I had been hoping to catch Luke Jerram's "Museum of the Moon" and always missing it. When I was in Carlisle in September I saw the sign above outside the cathedral.
To see it under the Carlisle Cathedral ceiling was a definite no-miss scenario. So today I took my third trip to Carlisle in a month to finally get my wish.
Here are my other Carlisle stories with pictures of that amazing ceiling.
What Is The Museum Of The Moon?
There are many copies on tour in Britain, the USA , a permanent one in Ontario Canada, and the rest of the world.
Check out the tour dates and details on the website here.
Museum of the Moon is a 2016 inflatable installation artwork by Luke Jerram. It is a spherical model of the Moon, with a diameter of 7 metres (23Â ft). Several copies tour the world for temporary exhibitions, often accompanied by music. There are also copies in museums in Barcelona and Sydney.

While the concept is simple, it looks absolutely amazing, and I was so pleased that I got to see it.
I recorded my visit on Instagram here:
Here are a couple of pictures from that set.

Conclusion
I know this is quite short, but I wanted to share this incredible presentation. If you get the opportunity to see it, take it. I am glad I have.
Thank you so much for reading.
