Devour Me
It's October 1st. It's true that I'm spooky all year round... I'm just a little bit extra in October... or maybe it's just a little bit more accepted this time of year. Either way, there isn't a single day in October that I'm not doing something completely out of the "ordinary". Whether its makeup looks, making decor for the house, or making some fun recipe with the kids. I started a day early and spent yesterday dressed up as a clown... for the whole day. I homeschooled the kids, took my dog out, cooked dinner, and cleaned house in full clown attire. People in my life are used to this by now... but we are in a new area and it's fun to be stopped in Walmart for photos with strangers.

Rene Magritte : master of the surreal
Rene Magritte was a master of surreal art and one of his most famous paintings is the Son of Man. Son of Man if you have not seen it is derby and an apple for a head and a suit, just a brilliant work of art from a brilliant artist.

Ron Pokrasso: The Beautiful Trouble of Making
By Brian D’Ambrosio The print shop is a place of stains. Ink gets under the fingernails. Solvent hangs in the air. Paper takes the pressure of the press and remembers it. Metal remembers it, too. Everything leaves a trace. For Ron Pokrasso, that is part of the attraction.

The Selena Salt portrait
I find it amazing what can be done using salt for artsake for example in this case there is a San Antonio, Texas artist named Rob The Original who had done a portrait of Selena using only salt and that is just an amazing idea. When the artist was creating this one of a kind portrait 250,000 people watched as this amazing work of art was being created. Selena’s brother AB Quintanilla was also present for the creation of the Selena salt portrait. The presentation was held at a Mexican restaurant located somewhere in San Antonio. It is too bad that salt can not be framed.

I saw the Imagine Peace Tower
I was in awe of it, and I showed it to my mother; that peace was something beautiful to see. I saw a little bit of it, and I was still inspired, and I still remember it to this day. Besides, you don’t see something beautiful like that every day. You’re doing a wonderful job creating this beautiful imaginary Tower of Peace. Later, I had a poster of the tower in my room.

The Homies
When I was in highschool I used to collect The Homies figurines and I thought that they were cool as I still do. They were created by David Gonzales a fictional latin barrio in california and they are tightknit. I had a couple of posters as well as the figurines too. Each piece is a beautifully done little piece of art. There is a little kid spin off appropriately titled “Mijos” which is spanish for my children or my kids.

This is the Keep calm and listen to Willy Chirino poster i created for my beloved friend Willy Chirino. I showed it to him and he liked it and then told me that he loves those posters. The idea for it came to me randomly i was driving somewhere and the idea came to and then when i got back to my house i went on my computer and created the poster and that is the way it happened. Like Willy i love those type of posters as well. He deserves a poster like this and that is all.

at the Lucy Desi Museum The I Love Lucy Mosaic now has become a part of the Lucy Desi Museum in Jamestown,New York. When they were putting together the mosaic fans were invited to send in pictures to be a part of the mosaic and I sent one or two and they were all added and I even have one photo on Desi’s cheek. The Ones I had sent in were me dressed as Ricky Ricardo at the Tropicana before it was Club Babalu and me with the Lucy Ricardo statue at Madam Toussands. I have a copy of the mosaic i just have yet to find a frame.

The Long and Colorful History of Persian Art. Top Story - September 2026.
A Colorful Existence Whether it’s the deep blue tiles on a tomb for poets, the intricate weaving and decoration on a bright red rug, or the flowing calligraphy inside a miniature Quran, Persian artistry never seizes to mystify and astound those who view them.
