The Accidental Vocal Icon
A Review of Paul Stewart's Poetry Book

I've been meaning to write this for ages but I feel like I'm bad at reviews so just be warned that my lack of review skills don't reflect on the quality of his book :)
If you've somehow found your way here without knowing about the Accidental Vocal Icon, here is his Vocal account: Paul Stewart.
And if, for some reason, you haven't bought his book yet, here it is: The Accidental Poet, and here is his Vocal story introducing it.
Being a lollie addict, I like to think of the poetry collection as a bag of party mix. You never know what you'll get next, a sad poem, a happy poem, a fun/ humerous poem or a serious poem. It's like Russian Roulette, except you don't know if the bullet will be made of confetti or melancholy and so on.
Since I don't know how to do a normal review, I'm just going to be sharing my favourite poems and the link to the poem on Vocal.
(Feel free to skip over everything I say and just go straight to buying his book/ checking out his account!)
My Favourites:
- How to Forgive Yourself - Recipe - Serves 1 [This is one of my absolute favourites of his and I promise I'm not just biased because he entered it in one of my unoffical Vocal Challenges (and won). I was so excited to see it in the book. No amount of rereads are enough for me.]
- I Want You to Know [This is also one of my favourites of all time. He posted this on Vocal right when I needed it and I can't explain how important it is to me.]
- How to be kind to yourself
- Even Numbers Always
- To Whoever It May Concern
- Use the Fear
- Evening Reflections
- when did you last see the sea?
- Do you write and bleed?
- Waking Up
Important:
Posting a review on Amazon is really helpful and appreciated too, so please remember to write one after you read the book :)

Thanks for checking it out! And thank you Paul, for all your support.
