Quantum! Have you ever heard the word? Now, the apprehenders are wondering what the hell this guy is asking about the most successful physics theory ever produced in the world of science! But remember, everyone is not an apprehender and a science engrossed.

Quantum physics is a world of predictions. But you can’t predict your notion. Nevertheless, indeed it is cool. According to the accepted notion, it is an observer-centred concept and hence observer plays a major role. The most exciting thing about this field is that nobody knows everything about it. So, there's no need to worry if you can't fully comprehend it. Just enjoy it as you feel.

“Wave function” is a charismatic concept I found in quantum physics. Simply, it is a mathematical object that describes the state of a quantum system. And keep it in mind! It is a micro-world application. When it is going to be applied to the macro world, the wave function collapses. That means if we use an apparatus to measure a distinctive feature of a proton, for example, the proton is the micro-world object and the apparatus is the macro-world object. Together, those two can be taken as a whole quantum system and take another object to the system and so on so that it can be continued as a chain. The collapse comes and plays the role when an observer is conscious of the system. That means when the observation is taking place. That phenomenon is called “The wave function collapse.” A marvellous philosophy comes to my mind when think about the wave function and its collapse. Suppose nature belongs to the quantum system and we are the observers. Nature is dextrous to interact with micro and macro things within nature and make a limitless chain relative to nature. At the point of humans making egocentric observations such as deforestation and carbon emission, the chain starts to rust and hence the magnificent interaction is annihilated.

Another interpretation of quantum physics is the Copenhagen interpretation introduced by Neils Bhor. So what is it? The simple idea is before an observer takes an observation quantum particle, a proton, for example, is a ghostly one and has been divided into two halves. It means it does not exist before the observation happens. So, it is in a ghostly state and is everywhere in the system. At the moment of observation, a half has appeared, and it becomes a reality. The other half is vanished. It exists in the ghostly world further. The real particle is the observed particle. Hence, the observer can take only one observation at once. A simple philosophy about this theory was described by John Wheeler. The 20-question game. A group of friends are there in a room. They plan to do a word game and go outside the room. They come back to the room. One becomes the player, the others are going to answer the questions asked by the player. The player does not have previously made questions, but he continues the game according to the “yes” or “no” answer given by others. It is the Copenhagen interpretation. Until the correct answer is given by others, all questions are ghostly. At the moment one of the others gives the correct one, it exists in the real world. For instance, “Is it white?” “Yes”. “Is it a solid?” “No”. Likewise, the player thinks about the word according to the replies by the others. He hasn’t a choice when enters back the room. Then, is he a liar? No! It is just quantum physics as I feel!

This does not end here! It is only a matter of time that can be consumed in an article.

Thank you for reading. I’ll come back again!

When I jumped into this article I thought it might be a scientific discussion. But wow this is brilliant. It is different from my expectation. A great click-bait title. Welcome.

  • You nailed it Esala! Truly informative and mind blowing writing in the scientific perspective about the reality. cleverly done!
