Angie’s Artifacts IV
Wandering through Hawaii, Germany and the Gulf...
This time I travelled far and wide to various Vocal archaeological sites…Hawaii was my first sun drenched stop! It was actually more akin to wandering through a gold field… this nugget was just lying by a creek bed. D.K. Shepard’s carefree holiday poem, Island Time, stirred a nostalgic streak in me… Hawaii, here I come! Wishing! 🥹 Her mother’s gorgeous photographs perfectly complemented the poem’s delightful rhythm and rhyme.
Surface of pristine prismatic sapphire
Dotted with bright white sailboat masts and hulls
Underneath, the snorkeler's delight inspires
Coral reef teems with life so colorful

The next find was in Germany… barely off the beaten track! This artefact shed much light on travel customs… join Andrea Corwin on a little drive… highly amusing (for us… but not for her)…
Ten Minute Drive Turns Into Ninety
There are all those weird round blue and red signs with lines crossed through them. Some have pictures to make it easy for us. And then there are the foreign languages. Quick! What did that sign mean? Is it OK to go straight ahead, or is this a one-way street?

This last treasure was stumbled upon with…
the constant breeze blowing in from the Gulf.
David Muñoz’s poem Winds of Home, inspired by Poppy’s May Prompts, vividly depicts memories of his homeland.
Metal to rust. Dreams to faded memories, lost to the wind.
I finally got an envelope with my ticket out, and away I went, before the next storm could descend

Well, it’s almost time to head back home… maybe I’ll bump into you next time, when I’m admiring some other fascinating Vocal artefacts like these or the ones I discovered previously.
