An ode to the contradiction of mortal existence

Read this if you are struggling from failure, rejection or heartbreak

Their life looks so magnanimous and perfect, oh how unfortunate I am to live in mediocrity! The notion of the ambush of abundance on the opposite end of our perceptive spectrum is the most notable contributor to the experiences of gut-wrenching self-doubt and comparison which in turn leads to insecurity and lower self-esteem. How often have you found yourself in the being of experiencing constant self-deprecating your competence and abilities? Have you seldom found yourself guilty for not believing in yourself, or discounting your worth on the hands of others? If you relate to this, this piece is for you. To err is human and to forgive is divine. There is humanness in finding yourself amidst the brevity of nerve-wracking chaos, you are not unworthy or incompetent because you feel like you are a mess or life is not working out the way you exactly want it to work out.

I recall the darkest moments of my life that led me to the brightest dawns of awakening into a newer reality that I could only imagine in my wildest dreams. It is the heartbreaks that make you wiser, it is the failures that make you learn more about yourself and it is the rejections that forge the presence of resilience and your ability to bounce back from the turbulence that occurs in your stride. To taste the sweetness of life, you must savour the bitterness of trials and tests that refine the spice of your existence. The disruptions that stall your expectations and dip their steps into the depths of uncertainty are the ones you should be grateful for because they lead you to massive plot twists that would have been unfathomable otherwise. There is beauty in surrendering to the divine, there is peace in letting go of what you cannot control and there is ultimate power in focusing and directing your energy onto the things that are in your might. Often we make the error of deeming ourselves smarter by the ebb and flow of life, calling ourselves the master of the uncontrollable only to be humbled in the face of truth showing its divine relevance.

While we are the masters of our fate and the captains of our souls,

The uncertain waters of mortal existence know to score their goal.

To live in the liberation of true spirit, one must hone their competence to sail through the duality of existential undercurrents, with the vision of the zenith yet the anchor of divine faith. The impermanence of predictability of outcomes is the gospel truth that signifies the permanence of unpredictability. I often would find myself making rigid plans about the definitive future I wanted, only to understand the beauty of uncertainty. Expectations in the due course of time if set in stone often lead us to face rock bottom.

The lowest of our survival stance,

Where the darkness prevails in its benevolence

And the divine radiance of light doesn't stand its chance.

It is at the deepest point in our downfall that we vow to yourselves never again. The duality of existence often dazes me with its essence, you needed that hurt to know that you will never let this happen to yourself again, You needed the rejection, the breakup or the absence of the one person you thought would be eternally engraved in your strife to understand the importance of loving and healing yourself. As much as the truth hurts and you might not be in gratitude for certain experiences that scarred the depths of your soul, to begin a new chapter in your life or become the best version of yourself, you have to be in radical acceptance of every ounce of yourself.

I know pain because I have felt in every crevice of my crumbling soul,

I know the essence of existence because I had a rendezvous with death in its crafty role.

I hope you become the hero you were in desperate waiting to save you from your plight,

My hope for you lies in realizing no one is coming from the stars to save you, be your light

On facing heartbreaks, rejections and failures -

In my eyes

You can either run from it

Or learn from it ;)
