Cinderella's castle at dusk in Magic Kingdom

Most people's dream vacation, located in the theme park capital of the world, Disney World has something for everyone.

Here is a list for you first timers, as well as you park veterans, something to help you check off the big hitters and to plan your busy day.

6) It's a Small World

The ride that everyone loves to hate. Even if you've never been to Disney, you'll easily recognise the classic song from this attraction.

Located at the back of Magic Kingdom, It's A Small World has been a staple of the park since its opening day back in 1971. Although it can be found at the other Disney parks around the world, a trip here isn't complete until you've ridden it at least once (maybe twice).

The ride, itself, is a slow boat ride that takes you through different scenes from different locations around the world. Featuring small animatronic dolls dancing and singing, the ride is sure to cheer you up or make you crazy.

5) Pirates of the Caribbean

The ride that started the franchise...Pirates of the Caribbean is another water ride that takes you back to the age of pirates.

Originally the ride solely focused on pirates, but, due to it inspiring the Pirates movie franchise, a recent revamp has now included the famous characters of Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbosa and even the Black Pearl itself.

Sit back and relax (if you can) as you take a trip through a dungeon, a pirate town and a burning city to experience life as a pirate and keep an eye out for some neat little surprises along the way.

4) Seven Dwarfs' Mine Train

One of the Magic Kingdoms newest ride has become one of its best. Set in the classic story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, you join the dwarfs heading to work to dig up their jewels.

Not only is this a roller-coaster, but the coaster itself is designed to swing as you go up and down and through the mines, making it feel even more exciting and dangerous.

Not only is the coaster a great attraction but the ride also features an interactive queue, which is sure to keep you, and any young ones with you, entertained whilst you wait (which could be over 2 hours on a busy day).

3) Space Mountain

At Disney World since 1975, Space Mountain is a strong fan favourite.

Inspired by future space exploration, the ride shoots you off into the darkness of space on an in-the-dark indoor roller-coaster.

However, despite being a popular attraction, this ride is more for the adults than the young ones in your party. Due to the darkness, sharp drops and height restrictions, only the older thrill seekers will be able to experience it.

But don't let that stop you, if you get the chance, this is a great, fun coaster that'll be sure to wet your appetite for the next two rides we have coming up...

2) Splash Mountain

Another musical ride, Splash Mountain is the second of the three 'mountains' of Disney World to be on our list (the first being Space Mountain).

Set to the musical backing of songs, such as "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah," this ride takes you on a log flume ride through an enchanted forest accompanying Br'er Rabbit in his hunt to find his 'laughing place' before being plummeted down a 5-story drop and getting absolutely drenched.

The ride is suitable for most kids, but as there is a drop, height restrictions do apply. But if your child is able to hop on the log, then they'll be greeted by over 100 talking and singing animatronics, which will almost definitely distract them from the fear of the fall....

1) Big Thunder Mountain

And finally, we reach the last ride to ride at the Magic Kingdom, Big Thunder Mountain.

Also the third Mountain of the park, Big Thunder Mountain is similar to Seven Dwarf's Mine Train, except this ride features its own unique story.

Hop aboard the speeding train through the haunted mining site, up and down the caverns and across the desert plains. Featuring many bumpy tracks and quick dips and turns, the ride is short, but definitely thrilling.

This ride is definitely for you Disney fans and it can even have the young ones on board, but if they like princesses, maybe Seven Dwarfs is more for them?
