The travel notes of the seven | mount Rainier national park ferris wheel (next) and Seattle

It was near noon when we finally arrived at Paradise, one of the core areas of Mount Rainier. The scenic area of Rainier National Park is mainly divided into two parts, one is Sunrise and the other is Paradise

Paradise is located about 1,402 meters southwest of Mount Rainier. On the south and southwest sides of Paradise are the famous Reflection Lake and Narada Falls, respectively. A little further north are the Paradise River and the famous Nisqually Glacier. The splendor of Mount Rainier's Paradise district makes visitors from around the world say "Oh, what a paradise!"

This is Paradise Ranger Station. If you want to climb Mount Rainier or challenge some of the grand Loop trails, you must come here to report and apply for climbing permits or camping permits in the wild. Many hikers make their own plans to climb the mountain, but they have to come here for review by the park management. The Ranger here is very helpful and will help climbers revise their plans according to the actual conditions such as the weather in the mountain to prevent accidents of hikers.

The building is the new Henry M Jackson Memorial Visitor Center in Rainier National Park, named in honor of Henry M Jackson, one of Washington state's longest-serving and most influential senators. The center opened in 2008 and cost more than $21 million to build.

The visitor center is well-equipped with staff to answer questions, and a video room on the second floor plays a continuous loop of short videos about mount Rainier's volcanic history, natural landscape and ecology. A tourist souvenir and gift shop and a photo exhibition of mount Rainier's history are also on the second floor. Another restaurant, Paradise Camp Deli, provides simple meals for tourists. I bought some light meals for lunch at the visitor center, and after a short rest, I was ready to climb.

Behind the visitor center are the starting points of the hiking trails. If you have time and energy, you can take a long walk along the Skyline Trail to Glacier Vista and Panorama Point, then follow the Golden Gate Trail back to the Jackson Visitor Center. A map of the trails can be downloaded from the Mount Rainier National Park website or obtained free of charge at the visitor center.

John Muir, the "father of National parks", wrote in 1889 in praise of Rainier National Park: "... the most luxuriant and the most extravagantly beautiful of all the alpine gardens I ever beheld in all my mountian-top Wanderings, "the words of One of America's most famous and influential naturalists and conservationists are etched on the steps at the start of the Mount Rainier trail.

When I arrived in Rainier in mid-June, I didn't go far up the trail to see the remnants of snow, and the high elevation of Mount Rainier makes the summer short. In late July and early August, when the snow on Mount Rainier melts and summer arrives, most of the flowers bloom and bear fruit in this short period of time. Maybe I came here a little early, so I hardly see the flowers on Mount Rainier.

You may have questions about heavy snow in short-sleeved mount Rainier standing on the mountain will be cold, actually I went to the day the weather was quite good, although the snow is very thick, but it was still very bright sunlight in the body is very warm, I have been to jasper national park, Canada athabasca ice sheets, it will feel very cold, Hiking on the ice fields is a must for storm jackets, so it's fun to climb the mountains in short sleeves at Rainier.

At mount Rainier walking even if a person will not feel boring, because the Skyline is a hot line, all levels of hikers will soon and the surrounding mountains tourist familiar, actually quite a number of visitors to Rainier snow mountain and I almost not professional climbers, has been under the snow mountain to Rainier all very excited.

The first European in the world to discover Mount Rainier was Captain George Vancouver. He was mapping Parkit Sound for the British in 1792 when he saw Mount Rainier, describing it as a "high, steep, snow-covered peak" that Captain George Vancouver named after a friend, Rear Admiral Peter Rainier. The Neighboring Indian tribes called Mount Rainier "Tahoma," which means "Mountain of God." As you hike, you'll find this sacred mountain getting closer and closer to you, but you'll also find it almost impossible to conquer.

After returning to Seattle, I took a rest in the youth hostel for a while. In the evening before it was dark, I of course went to the quay Area. As a port city, The Quay area of Seattle is a lively leisure and entertainment place suitable for visiting all the year round. "Miners Landing" is a red building at Pier 57 that dates back to the 1890s, when the gold rush drew Miners to the Northwest and the marina was built to harbor gold rush boats. Miners Landing, which translates to "Miners Landing" in Chinese, has had its ups and downs before blossoming into a top attraction on Seattle's waterfront Tours.

In the evening, you can take the ferris wheel to overlook the charming city scenery of Seattle from a high altitude. Considering that this is the third time FOR me to take the ferris wheel alone after Montreal, Canada and London Eye, London, England, this water ferris wheel in Seattle is 53 meters high and cost 20 million DOLLARS to build. The bottom of each class is made of special transparent glass. This allows passengers to view the ground and the bay from below.

After getting off the Seattle Ferris Wheel, walk along the shore of the Seattle Pacific Ocean and watch the sunset coming slowly. The huge ferris wheel suddenly stands on the coast, adding a kind of beauty under the colorful lights. If New York represents the prosperity of America and Los Angeles represents the freedom of America, then Seattle is the ideal place to live in America. With its mild, humid climate and laid-back lifestyle, Seattle becomes more and more fascinating the longer you stay in the city. No matter how tight your time is on a trip to the US, the city is definitely worth a visit.
