Cultural festivals are extremely important and enjoyable for those who identify with a certain culture. Throughout the year, many festivals take place in various states around the United States, based on the diverse population that resides there.

When a significant number of people of a certain ethnicity or race live together, they prefer to congregate together and enjoy their cultural events. The following are 10 of the most outstanding and well-known cultural events hosted around the United States.

A large number of people travel from all across the country to attend these celebrations. Let’s take a look at some of the country’s top cultural festivals.

1.Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Louisiana

This celebration lasts for two weeks, starting two weeks before Shrove Tuesday and ending on Ash Wednesday. Throughout the festival, small to major parades are held, with the largest procession taking place in the last five days, with a ball occasionally held on the last day.

The festival is organized by local social clubs. To connect with the audience, participants participating in the procession throw bright plastic beads and adorned things such as throw mugs into the crowd. Purple, green, and gold are their traditional colors, which represent justice, faith, and strength, respectively.

2.New Mexico’s Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

This is an annual hot air balloon event that takes place in early October in New Mexico. It takes place over the course of 90 days, with up to 500 balloons being released each year. The event is billed as one of the world’s largest hot air balloon festivals.

It includes a variety of events spread out over several days, such as a Crispy Crème morning glow on the first day. This festival epitomizes Mexican culture and serves as one of the city’s most important tourist attractions, generating substantial revenue.

3.Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ashland, Oregon

In Oregon, there is a theatre where various plays are performed. This theater is utilized every year at this festival, and roughly eleven plays are performed on several stages over the Shakespeare season, which runs from February to early November.

Shakespeare’s plays are played at least 300 times, and a variety of other plays are also produced for an audience of roughly fifteen million people who watch with bated breath.
