The city of Sydney flaunts a stunning landscape that showcases its gold-sand ocean beaches, picturesque coastline backed by lush green parks and glamorous harbour pools. As you travel across this stunning city, you will discover that Sydney means more than its beautiful landscapes. From its outstanding culinary trends to its fascinating cultural and art scene, there are so many aspects of the city that you can explore.

To mark a wonderful beginning to your explorations in the city, you may first visit the famous Sydney Harbour—the glamorous destination that defines the city’s international clout. One of the best things to do while you’re at the harbour is to dine with a view of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Although there are many waterfront restaurants in Sydney, it’s often difficult for the tourists and visitors to make a choice between them all. However, at the top of our head, we recommend a Sydney Lunch cruise for a memorable day time cruising experience at the harbour. Not only do these luxury cruises offer a delicious and freshly prepared meal that features some of the best Aussie dishes, but also they offer the best views of the harbour attractions. Dining with a view takes on a new impression with these cruises and it would indeed be a great miss not to experience a lunch cruise in Sydney. Book your seats today.

While you’re at the harbour, another experience you wouldn’t want to miss out on is a trip to The Rocks—Sydney’s oldest colonial neighbourhood. It was here where the First Fleet of British colonists arrived in 1788. The Harbour Bridge looms over the historic district while the Opera House majestically stands facing opposite to the Rocks. The oldest remaining district here is Cadman's Cottage, which was founded in 1816, located beside the Museum of Contemporary Art(MCA). The Bridge, also dubbed as “The Coathanger”, is an incredible feat of design which can be seen clearly from the Rocks. However, it exists as a vital artery between Sydney’s CBD beside Circular Quay with the North Shore. The bridge is also known to give a stunning bird’s-eye view of the Opera House, Luna Park and other harbour attractions.

Next in line is the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney. This 74-acre oasis is Australia’s oldest botanical garden which was founded in 1816. It is adorned with all kinds of ornamental plants, ancient trees and rolling lawns with a mix of native and international varieties. You will discover many perfect picnic spots and walkways that are perfect for a serene walk or a time-out from the buzzing crowds in the city. The garden has a large variety of flowers and plant-packed conservatories and historic sculptures punctuating the grounds. Also, don’t forget to check out the Australian Native Rockery, Australian Rainforest Garden, or the Bicentenary Garden and the rare and recently rediscovered Wollemi Pine.

Taronga Zoo in Sydney, situated at one of the city’s best locations, is a heavenly home to amazing animals such as gorillas, zebras, giraffes, koalas and more. The zoo allows you to capture amazing pictures of these animals set against a backdrop of the stunning Sydney Opera House and the sparkling harbour. To get to the zoo, you can take the 12-minute scenic ferry ride from Circular Quay and then soar towards the main entrance of the zoo by a Sky Safari cable car. There are about 4000 animals from various parts of the world including the Australian indigenous species.

This is a simple and basic guide to the city of Sydney. Like the tip of an iceberg, these destinations have much more in store for you once you start exploring
