You may be very excited to get there but are putting off getting your things into a backpack because it can be quite tedious and time-consuming and sometimes, you aren't even sure what you should be taking with you. Are you the kind of holidaymaker that hates to pack? Are you one to suffer from either bringing too much or bringing too little with you when on a trip? This article is what you are looking for.

Don't Stack Your Clothes

If you want to save space inside your luggage and make sure that you can find everything when you are looking for it, don't stack clothes as you have often conditioned yourself to do. Instead, roll them individually and set them side by side. The chance of your clothes getting crushed is less and you can easily find what you are looking for. It also helps tremendously to save space.

Use Vacuum Bags

If you aren't partial towards rolling all your clothes up, think about investing in vacuum bags. It would be much easier to sort your clothing into segments and then put them in the vacuum bags which when sealed would take up far less space than if they were packed as they were. These are especially good for bulky items like your coats and hoodies. The good thing about vacuum bags is that you can use them even after you are back home. They come in handy during any storage requirement.

Use the Pyramid Principle

The pyramid method is segregating your clothing to shoes, large clothes, pants and then tee shirts and small clothes. Instead of rolling the pants lay them at the bottom and then out of the suitcase. Afterwards, roll all the clothes that won't crease into the middle and fold the parts hanging out over them. If you have toiletries, ties and other small items pack them on top of this.

Say No to an Umbrella

Rather than carrying a bulky and awkward shaped umbrella in your luggage, opt instead to take a raincoat with you. If you find that the weather turns and there is torrential rain, you can always borrow an umbrella from your hotel the likes of Oaks Moranbah Suites.

Carry Travel-Sized Cosmetics

If you are staying at one of the Moranbah service apartments, they will provide you with the necessary toiletries, so you don't have to take a lot with you. Try to adopt a minimalistic approach to make up when you are abroad and carry the basics in travel-sized cosmetic bags.

Pack Small Things with Care

Invest in a small carrier or box that will enable you to sort out your jewellery, hair ties, neckties or other accessories in a way that they don't all get muddled together. You could put all your socks inside your shoes, electronics in a separate bag, sort things out neatly in whatever capacity.

Use Coat Hangers

If you are going on a business trip you need to make sure that your clothes don't get creases. If they do you could always iron them, but some hotels might not offer you the service. The best way to ensure that clothes remain wrinkle-free is to pack them together with the coat hanger. Then you can pull them out and put them in the hotel wardrobe when you get there.

Don't Leave Empty Spaces

Don't leave empty space in your luggage. Always try to fill it with something. The more tightly everything is packed the less likely they are to move inside the bag while in transit and get all wrinkled and creased.
