By Air:

The nearest airport from Suzhou is Located approximately 22 kilometres away, and it is the Suzhou Guangfu Airport. Unfortunately, it is now exclusively used by the Army. However, there is another airport in Wuxi which is open for public. Although this is regarded as the quickest and the most convenient way of getting around the country, its domestic airfares could be quite expensive. You can reach the airport by bus or by taxi and once you reach here you could travel to any of the major cities.

By Train or Bus:

Trains and buses are the most reliable ways of intercity travel in china. Trains and buses operate round the clock taking travellers in and out of major cities at an amazing rate. With strict government policies, they are quite punctual and readily available at all times. If you are willing to use public transportation methods, it is recommended that you remain a bit cautious about your belongings since there is a likelihood of goods getting stolen around these transportation modes. There are two train stations. The main station in the city is the Suzhou Railway Station, and the other is the Suzhou West Railway Station which is only used for freight transportation. The city has four main bus stations too.
