A Normal Love Story, Maybe.

First Rome Vacation, First of the Firsts: Us

We went to Rome for my birthday. It was our first trip together. I had never experienced the excitement of exploring a new city hand in hand and in love. It was the first time I was going on a vacation with my boyfriend at 27. I felt incredible.

Rome was the perfect setting for our story. As we wandered through ancient ruins, shared meals in cozy trattorias and tossed coins into the Trevi Fountain, we made memories that will stay with us forever.

The ancient streets, the vibrant atmosphere and the beauty of the city came together to create a magical experience that neither of us will ever forget.

Visiting Vatican City was highlight of our trip. This was his choice. But I extremely curious and excited. We waited in line for 2 hours. Standing under the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, we both fell silent before the beauty and skill of Michelangelo's masterpiece.

Yes! Our love story, though it might seem normal, felt extraordinary to us. Every moment in Rome—every laugh, even every little argument—brought us closer together. We found joy in the simple things, like sharing a slice of pizza on a park bench or pasta.

From our first entrance to the Colosseum to our last ice cream on the Spanish Steps, our first trip to Rome was a celebration of love. The sheer size and history of the Colosseum left us in awe, imagining the gladiators and crowds that once filled the ancient arena. We took countless photos, trying to capture the grandeur of the moment, but no picture could do it justice.

One of the most special moments of our trip was visiting the Trevi Fountain. We joined the crowds of tourists, tossing coins into the fountain and making wishes for our future.

The tradition felt magical, and the beauty of the fountain under the morning sun was mesmerizing. We sat by the fountain for a while, talking about our dreams and hopes, feeling grateful for the time we had together.

Food was a big part of our Roman adventure. We enjoyed delicious pizzas, pasta dishes and tried new flavors and dishes, enjoying the culinary treasures Rome has to offer.

The simplicity and beauty of our shared experiences made this trip unforgettable and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

As we said goodbye to Rome, we promised to come back. The city had given us a good start, and we didn't want this to be our last time together. This was definitely the beginning of memories that would last a lifetime.

Tim was my rock throughout Rome. He was always ready to help, calming in my anxious moments. He made everything smoother and more enjoyable. His presence turned our trip into something truly special. His patience, laughter, and kindness made every experience feel deeper thanks to him.

I loved Rome, but most of all, I love Tim and the joy we found in each other. So is this a normal love or is it a perfect love like it was for me?
