Why Can't My Body And Body Work AS One
Silent Conversation Between The Body And Mind
This story is about the silent conversation the mind and body have with each other.
Mind: "Good Morning, time to get up body."
Body: I am still tired, I did not feel good these past few days.
Mind: You still need to get up! Ignore the pain !!!!
Body: All right, I am getting up.
The Body gets up slowly with difficulty. The stomach and the heart seem to
be working overtime. The heart is beating faster and the stomach
is just cramping continuously.
Mind: Whoa Body, what is that uncomfortable sensation?
Body: I told you I am feeling pain.
Mind: Let's do some breathing exercises and it will go away.
Body: Are you kidding me? Do you, seriously think the pain will go away with breathing exercises? We even took Tylenol PM, before bed. Let us go to the bathroom first, I got to pee.
The body walks arthritic to the bathroom from the bedroom.
Mind: What is going on with those legs, why so rigid?
Body: After, I pee we can do some breathing exercises and stretching exercises, OK?
Mind: Fine!
They team up with the breathing exercise. They do their breathing exercise, fill the stomach with air with a count of four, hold their breath on a count of seven, and release the breath on a count of eight.
They repeated the breathing exercise nine times.
Body: The heart has not slowed down, it's still beating fast. My stomach is still cramping.
Mind: Let us skip the stretching exercise and take the stomach medicines.
Body: Let us eat first, I am hungry.
Mind: How can you be hungry when your stomach hurts? I am starting to feel dizzy and blanking out.
The Body starts to shake uncontrollably. The body ran to the bathroom and threw up in the toilet. They almost did not make it.
Mind: It's been two days we are like this, I think it's time to go to the hospital.
Body: You think????? Sometimes your optimism doesn't work in this painful situation. I am not a robot.
They dial 911, they are not going to be able to drive themselves to the hospital.
Mind: Get the bag together, we might have to stay there like the last time for four days.
Body: I do not think I can put the bag together. I do not have any energy left.
Mind: Yes, we can do It!!!! Oh, wait a minute, I am getting dizzy.
They ran to the bathroom. Throw up again.
Body: We should have not eaten anything yesterday.
Mind: I agree, now we have to go to the hospital.
Body: Let's take a shower before going to the hospital, who knows how long we will be in the emergency room before we get treated.
Mind: I feel like passing out.
Body: Let's lie down while waiting for the ambulance.
I wrote this story, to amuse myself with the inner silent battle that I have when I am not feeling up to par.
Our Body have a mind of its own. There are certain things that are out of our control. If you do not take care of your body and mind like you are supposed to, it will shut down.
Our mind and body have silent voices that need to be heard. Maybe people call it the subconscious mind? Our bodies speak to us through sensations and our minds through unspoken words.
Our logical mind might think to eat healthy but our body has craving sensations that sometimes we need to ignore.
I try to give myself silent self-talk on food I need to eat, even if I have some craving to eat food I am not supposed to eat. I am writing this story today, to distract my mind from thinking negative thoughts.
