feminism
At its core, feminism is the simple conviction that women are equal to men in every regard, and should be treated as such.
Ghanians Arrested in Scam For US Citizenship Using the (VAWA) Violence Against Women ACT
Wednesday, 24 January 2024 By: TB Obwoge As a Black, American woman who is married to an African man, that only seems to have used me for my citizenship, I find pleasure that this story has a positive ending. Though this same scam is being used against American spouses as well, the US government seems to ignore the calls of Americans married to those from all over the world which happen to be using this same American law created to protect women.

IwriteMywrongsPublished 4 months ago in VivaThe Confidence Gap
Could you land a plane if the pilot became incapacitated? Could you correctly use the Heimlich maneuver if someone at your table was choking? Could you give CPR if one of your friends, coworkers, or family members suddenly went into cardiac arrest? A recent study found that men were far more confident than women in their abilities - even if they lacked them - to do such critical tasks. We explore this “confidence gap” and how it translates into challenges - and opportunities - to build self-reliance in women, from school to career.
David WyldPublished 4 months ago in VivaHow I Didn’t Know the Rights I Didn’t Have as a Woman Coming of Age in the 70s
Last September I came across an article on Medium by writer Katie Jgln about the idealization of a non-existent pre-second-wave feminist time when women were happy being housewives. This fallacy is being perpetuated by a younger generation of “anti-feminists.”

What Is A Woman?
When I see videos like the one below with Charlie Kirk persistently asking college students one question, "What is a woman?" and students stumbling to answer or seemingly not able to give him an answer that would satisfy his inquisitive mind, as a teacher I'm baffled.

Is Personal Agency Only for the Young?
I am angry. This week I was Threading through Threads and came across a post from a woman that said, among other things: "How can I make my mother stop coloring her hair and just go grey? She's 62 and not fooling anyone; she and her friends are old and it's time that she acts her age."

The name Fendi is strongly associated with Rome. Their flagship store, situated in a palace from the 1700s, is a celebration of Italian textures, hues, and fashion. Every boutique they have, but especially the one in the Eternal City, is a tribute to the country's culture.
