Knowing this, the Siddhas considered neem as the first among all herbs. The best medicine for the poor, if we add neem tree to our diet instead of just using it as a medicine, we will get the necessary immunity for our body.

Neem tree is connected with the culture and customs of Tamils. All parts of neem are useful. This is why neem is felicitated as the “Rural Dispensary” by tamils

Neem flowers blooming in the Tamil month of “Chithirai“ (i.e April –May) herald spring to the world. Neem flower is white in color. Neem flowers spread a certain fragrance in the air.

It is because of its specialty that it has been added to our South Indian dishes, and we will take back what our forefathers left behind. Neem provides vitamins, minerals and antioxidants

Antiseptic Neem flower has many medicinal properties.

It has the power to increase virility. You can make kulkandu with neem flower which gives good results.

Relieves nausea, vomiting, fainting. Neem flowers can be washed and eaten as rasam to cure these. Or if you dry neem flower in the sun and eat it into powder, you will get rid of vomiting and belching.

If you put neem flower in boiled water and inhale the steam, headache and earache will be relieved.

Cures skin related rashes, scabies etc. If you put neem leaves in hot water and take a bath after some time, you can get rid of skin diseases.

Increases digestion and stimulates appetite. Removes bile. Soak neem flower and drink it to relieve biliousness.

Reduces body weight. If you take a handful of neem flower and soak it in water and then drink that water twice daily in the morning and evening on an empty stomach, you will lose weight.

Ear abscess is cured. Boiling neem flower in water and holding its vapor in the ear will cure ear discharge.

Helps to heal sore throat. Consuming a small amount of neem flower can cure sore throat.

Destroys the germs and intestinal worms in the intestines. A decoction of neem flower twice a week will give good results.

Kills stomach bugs in children. Grind two or three chillies with a little neem flower to the size of a gourd If given to children, stomach germs will die and pass out with stool.

Cures malarial fever. Neem flower has the ability to destroy all the bad germs in the body.

Relieves long-term flatulence. Chewing neem flowers can cure this problem quickly.

Cures cancerous tumors.

LET'S SEE HOW TO MAKE NEEM RICE THAT IS BENEFICIAL FOR THE BODY AND CURES DISEASES :-

Ingredients :

Parboiled rice - one cup,

dry chillies - 4, curry leaves,

peanuts - little,

dried neem flower - one tablespoon,

urad dal, mustard, turmeric powder - one teaspoon each,

tamarind - ball size,

ghee - one teaspoon,

oil, salt - As much as needed.

METHOD:

* Leave ghee in a pan and fry the neem.

* Fry urad dal, dry chillies and peanuts in a little oil and cool. Once cool add tamarind and salt and grind it in a mixer.

* Put the strained rice in a wide vessel.

* Leave a little oil in a pan and season with mustard and curry leaves, add turmeric powder and add to the rice.

* Add roasted neem and ground powder and mix well and serve.

* This rice is very good for the body. Can be eaten twice a week. Very suitable for diabetic patients.
